I bought these at CDG airport in France two years ago and I love them because they remind me of my favorite place
Such an odd assortment but it brings back so many memories. I loved Paris more than anything, and as someone who lives on the other side of the world, it's going to be a while until I can go back. So I rely on these gummies and my les Anis de Flavigny rose mints for nostalgia. Does anyone else like the Haribo Polka mix?
Any other young people into genealogy here?
I’m 18 and I’ve been fascinated with finding out about my ancestry since I was probably 13. My great-aunts have sent me all of the family history documents they’ve compiled over the years, because I’m the one who they know will treasure them. I research the ancestry of my friends and peers as a sort of party trick because it‘s fun and it impresses them. But I never meet anyone else my age interested in genealogy. So, my question is, are there any other young people on this subreddit? Or, if you’re older, are any of your children or grandchildren interested in genealogy? Thank you!
I like online advertisements!
I love free stuff on the internet. I’m cheap, and I would never pay for an online app or game. Whenever I see an ad, I’m happy because it means the site is making money and probably will stay free for consumers.
I’m fine with all kinds of ads as long as they’re not unskippable. I just ignore them if they’re on my screen beside my content. YouTube ads do not annoy me at all; I just press skip. The only kind I dislike are the ones that take up my full screen for more than 30 seconds and are unskippable.
I don’t understand why people get adblockers. Again, I’m cheap, so the content of ads doesn’t affect me at all. I’ve never bought something because of an advertisement. However, sometimes I get targeted ads for things I actually need that I was previously shopping for and forgot about (I have ADHD lol), and the ad reminds me to finish shopping, which is a good thing!
Anyway, I’ve never gotten all the fuss about “ad-free” things. I’m cool with my ads.
HELP!! My dad brought home a baby crow
My dad just got home from work and he has a baby crow. Apparently the nest got destroyed yesterday and there were two baby crows. One of them died last night. No parent crows returned for the other one and she’s been crying for food, so my dad brought her home in a box. She’s still crying for food. My dad is making her scrambled eggs. I’m SO STRESSED OUT right now. What should we do? I’m worried about her.
Movies like Le Dîner de cons
Salut ! I’m learning French. Le Dîner de cons is my favorite movie. I love it so much. I‘ve watched it four times since I first watched it in January this year. I want to watch some more French movies, but I’m struggling to find ones with the same vibe. I‘ve seen Les Intouchables and I liked it, but I want one like Le Dîner de cons. I was looking at other films directed by Francis Veber, and then other films starring Thierry Lhermitte, and there are a lot in both those categories so I don’t know where to start. Please suggest movies with the same vibes as Le Dîner de cons! Merci beaucoup.
