The ability to use my car as a big battery in the event of a power outage is really appealing. But for those of you who use the V2L adapter, how are you actually using it? It gives you one regular plug. Do you plug in a multi-outlet surge protector and then run extension cords everywhere? How many things do you run from your car?
I was working on my boat and noticed this little guy hanging out on our boat lift. He/she stayed there for more than an hour while I worked, moving just a bit on the cables. What kind is it? I’m on the eastern shore of Maryland.
On the eastern shore of Maryland, this guy is looking out over the river toward our osprey friends’ nest.
I live on the eastern shore of Maryland and have been watching a pair of osprey tend to their nest for a little over a month. Last night for the first time there was no adult sitting on the nest, and I could not see little baby bird heads poking up. Tonight there is no adult on the nest, but both the male and the female are perched nearby. Could these osprey have lost their babies?
UPDATE: Today I saw one of the parents standing on the side of the nest, bending in toward the center. It 100% looked like it was feeding babies! I suspect that when the nest was empty, one of the parents was perched in one of the (many) nearby trees, watching. I did not think I would be as invested as I am in this drama, but I'm all in.
