4-color simulated CMYK screen print from this weekend using fluorescent inks 🤩

I love using fluorescent pink, blue, and yellow in place of traditional CMYK—look at how radiant the red on that door is! Fun little print I made this weekend. Sorry I forgot to photograph just the pink layer! Thanks for checking it out :)

Do you know this place?

Hi! I was watching public security camera footage and I came across this place that is supposedly located in Pilsen, but the coordinates given just drop me in a factory parking lot. Have you seen this place? Do you know where it is? I am dying to find out and go there if possible. Thank you!

Neighborhood Watch 2, 3-color simulated CMYK print

Messed up my magenta screen and just kinda rolled with it! Printed using speedball ultra blue, process yellow, and black.

Neighborhood Watch 2, 3-color silkscreen print, 12” x 12”

Simulated CMYK process using speedball ultra blue, process yellow, and black. And yes, this is the result of me accidentally ruining my magenta screen before I got to print it and just kinda rolling with the punches 😅

The Lovers as Wifi Imaging, silkscreen monoprint with crushed pearl flocking

Screen printed a layer of transparent base mixed with antique silver pigment and powdered graphite then flocked with crushed pearl powder 😮‍💨 a fun little challenge with lots of learning!

The Lovers as Wifi Imaging, silkscreen monoprint with crushed pearl flocking

Printed with transparent base mixed with antique silver pigment and graphite powder then flocked with crushed pearl powder on top. A shiny nightmare if I’m being honest 😂 remind me not to use black paper when flocking next time!

Looking for recommendations for photographers and good photo locations in Albuquerque!

Hi all! I’m doing at artist residency in Albuquerque at the end of September and I thought it might be nice to commemorate the occasion by getting some photos taken while I’m there. I’d like to have some shots out in nature but could also take some in the art studio where I’ll be working.

I’m especially (but not exclusively) interested in photographers who shoot on film, and I’d even be open to polaroid shots if there’s anybody playing with those in the area.

Does anyone have recommendations for photographers or for picturesque outdoor locations in the area? Thank you!

Do you use Doron Supply’s Dithertone? Is it worth it?

Hi all! I have been getting ads for YEARS for Doron Supply’s Dithertone plugin. I usually just scroll by as I feel comfortable making my own basic halftones for printing, but I got curious and it seems like an interesting tool for playing with halftones. Anybody here use it? Is it worth the price? Is it actually helpful for people with an existing skillset for streamlining the process, or is it better for folks just starting out? Any thoughts appreciated, thanks!

Mystery bump on mammary chain — waiting a week for test results

Hi all, my dog Poptart (shown in pic 2) has a mystery bump in between two of her nipples near the bottom right of her stomach (shown in pic 1). The bump is kind of soft, and she doesn’t react when you touch it. We first noticed it last weekend because she was licking herself in that spot and I took her to the vet the next day. Aside from that one instance of licking, she has had no behavioral changes. They took a sample for a cytology test but it’s been a week with no results and the anxiety is driving me crazy.

The vet gave me basically no information. Is that wait time normal for cytology test results? Should we anticipate that this is cancerous based on the fact that a cytology test was ordered? Is there anything that can be pieced together from this photo and description? Thank you!
