I got an AAS in Logistics/Supply Chain back in 2009, and for many reasons at the time I didn't end up going into the field at all. A few years later I became self employed as a reseller (ebay, etc) and still am. But due to the economy and changing dynamics of the reselling world, I am considering going back to work FT (sigh).

I am seeking insight on whether or not to pursue the Supply Chain industry now or I should focus on my other previous fields (medical administrative). I don't necessarily want to do public facing jobs anymore which was why I did the AAS to begin with. I rather deal with internal business or business to business work.

I also need a starting salary range of around $75-80k to quit reselling and make it worth my while to no longer have flexibility I have now with my work/life balance and go back to the 9-5 life.

But given the length of time since I got the degree and my transition to ecommerce logistics instead, what are my chances of finding something to jump into now? Or would there be a need for additional updated training? If so, what is recommended? Is AI going to phase out alot of jobs so it's not worth pursuing for that reason either?
