SWV debut was finally repressed 🙌🏽🙌🏽 just came in today and excited to put it along with my OG copy of their 3rd album. Just got a new subwoofer yesterday so safe to say I’ll be spinning things all day lol
So I’ve been using these polypropylene outer sleeves from the company vinyl fever and what I’m noticing is in lower light they appear fine like in the first pictures however the moment I turn lights on you can see how bad it can look with having a huge glare while also just looking like its too much empty space (which there isn’t much space) but it gives such a baggy look sometimes. Are there any outer sleeve recommendations that don’t do this, and have maybe an anti glare material and a tighter fit so that you don’t see excess space like how you can see in the last photos?
So I’ve been looking for this on vinyl, specifically this orange and purple split variant, which came with a 2nd signed sleeve, for SO long as The Wizrd is one of in my opinion his most underrated projects and one of my favorites of his. In his top 5 for me for sure. But anyway I was able to just recently come up on this for an absolute STEAL as since I’ve been following it I’ve only seen it at prices I was just not willing to pay. Ended up picking it up for $100 shipped brand new still sealed since it’s release in 2019, only thing is I could tell the person wasn’t into records like that. Fast forward to receiving the record it wasn't shipped in a record mailer but in a standard bubble envelope im shocked there wasn’t significant damage. But anyway I opened the record from the plastic wrap, which I can tell was never tampered with or anything, but the records itself felt like no other record I’ve ever felt in my life. In the run-in blank wax at the outer edge of the record it is raised. Like a lifted surface that you can feel. Everything else is fine but does anyone have this variant in particular?? Can you confirm if the record was just made like this or is this a sign of some kind of damage from storage or anything?? You may not be able to tell in the pictures, does anyone have this record?
I know a lot of ppl were skeptical of if it’ll be a legit sig or autopen or signed by someone else, can def confirm not autopen and his signature matches others that were signed directly by him, ultimately I’m happy 🫡
