question!

hi! i’m a Sikh, meaning i practice Sikhism. I’ve seen a handful of videos online saying that you can’t be a feminist while practicing a religion, and I was wondering if this is also considered incompatible with Sikhism?? thank you :)

p.s. sorry if this is badly worded! i’m genuinely just curious and not trying to be disrespectful toward anyone or their beliefs.

For physicians and medical professionals: What TB problems need more attention?

Hi! I’m a high-school student beginning a 7 month long science-fair research project on tuberculosis, and I’m currently in the problem-space exploration stage rather than choosing a specific project.

I’m broadly exploring areas such as transmission, latent TB, drug resistance, treatment, drug delivery, vaccines, immunology, host-pathogen interactions, epidemiology, healthcare systems, environmental factors, diagnostics, and emerging technologies. However I have not choosen a topic, nor do I have any idea!

I’d especially value perspectives from physicians, nurses, infectious-disease specialists, pulmonologists, public-health professionals, and other healthcare workers who have experience with TB.

From your clinical experience:

  • What TB problems are particularly difficult to manage in practice?
  • What gaps do you wish current treatments, diagnostics, or healthcare systems addressed better?
  • Are there problems that seem under-researched or overlooked?
  • What would you most like to see improved in TB care?

I’m trying to understand the real-world problems clinicians encounter so I can later identify a meaningful research gap that could potentially become an experimentally feasible student project.

Any perspectives or resources would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you and have a good day/night!

What Tuberculosis Problems Do You Think Deserve More Attention?

Hi! I’m a high-school student starting a long-term science-fair research project on tuberculosis.

I’m currently trying to explore the TB problem space broadly rather than choosing a specific topic yet. I’m looking into areas including transmission, latent TB, drug resistance, treatment, drug delivery, vaccines, immunology, host-pathogen interactions, epidemiology, healthcare systems, environmental factors, diagnostics, and AI/data science. I'm still pretty confused on what topic to choose so I am asking you all.

For TB patients, clinicians, researchers, public-health workers, or anyone with relevant experience:

What TB problem do you think is currently underappreciated, poorly understood, or just in need of better solutions?

What is something you wish more researchers or students were paying attention to? Even if its just a thought, please feel free to comment it. Doesn't have to be formal!

I’m especially interested in problems that remain unresolved despite existing research and interventions. Providing personal experiences is also helpful :)

I’d really appreciate any perspectives, resources, or research areas you think I should investigate.

Thank you! Stay safe and take care.

Any list of ACT topics?

Hello! Firstly I would like to thank everyone in this thread as many of the users here have helped me :)

School starts in 20 ish days, im really bored right now and I have the urge to do a huge math learning session (yes I love math)!

If someone could please provide me a list with math or like, in general, any topics that have been mentioned on the ACT in the past, that'd be great. Honestly, like, I hope I'm not asking much from anyone, but if anyone does have some sort of list like this, that would be great. And if I'm being honest, the more detailed it is, the more helpful it is to me.

Unfortunately, I am not the type of person to, like, you know, write the broad, like, you know, like, for example, algebra is not, like, something that I feel like would benefit me on an extreme amount, but perhaps, like, algebra one or algebra two-based topics, that would be much more beneficial for myself.

Also, um, I'm going into grade 9, and if you guys have any tips for me, please let me know if you guys have any tips that are given to myself are documented into my journal, firstly.

And, lastly, I did make a post, and unfortunately, I led a lot of users to believe that I'm taking the ACT now, which I'm not. I will be taking it in the end of my 10th and beginning of my 11th year, based on testing dates and how confident I am, because I feel like I learn material fast.

Thank you! :)

Low cost printing in edmonton

Hi, I'm a grade 9 student and I have been working on a few research projects. I have about less than 400 pages worth of material to print. Unfortunately, I've tried looking into getting my material printed at the library. However, my total is still going to be significantly out of budget. Do you guys have any recommendations for printing services in the Edmonton region that are decently low cost or somewhat affordable? Or if there are any locations that offer, like, a student discount, that would be great. Also, if you guys could also, like, I'm sorry if this is too much to ask, but if you, like, already know on the top of your head, like, don't search it up if you, like, don't know, if you guys could please let me know about how much it costs per page in black and white, just normal A4 paper, that'd be lovely. Thank you!!
