Advice for a shrimp population control

Advice for a shrimp population control

So I have a shrimp breeding tank than I have a low grade shrimp tank and I don’t want them breeding too much it’s 15 gallons and 65cm long
So I was thinking
Platinium halfbeaks or Peacock gudgeon or lyretail killifish as my options as shrimp control I already have 10 lampeye killifish so I don’t want to overstock this tank.

So I have 5 chilli and 1 phoenix rasbora and lots of cherry shrimp in a 10 gallon.
I want to try getting some clown killifish either 1 male+2 females or 2 males+4 females I also want to get a Scarlet Badis in the future so will it be overstocked? İ have lots of plants and a sponge filter but I’m afraid of getting more fish than the tank can handle.

So I have 10 lampeye killifish(and got the lampeyes recently so theyre not fully grown) and 2 spotted blue eyes in my 15 gallon I originally had 10 spotted blue eyes 4 months ago but they slowly passed away in the span of 4 months I fed them baby brine shrimp crushed pellets vinegar eels and the water was stable with weekly %20 water changes if there is anything to note is that I have pH around 7-8 and hard water (like Marks on the lid kind of hard) and I read that they could live in soft to moderately hard water but I don’t really Know how hard my water is. So ı’m guessing they died because my water was too hard and I don’t usually count my fish while feeding cause theyre fast so I didn’t notice at first but I saw one be a bit bloated and have difficulty swimming and didn’t see her again(probably the shrimps work) so I noticed less and less of them why else could they have died? I’m not really sure what to do with the remaining 2.
