Has anybody lost their house after losing their jobs?

Interested to hear when this happened (last decade, last year, etc) and how soon after losing the job you lost your house. My husband's just lost his job and the job market seems bonkers. We're basically preparing the house for selling just in case.

Edit to add: by losing the house I don't necessarily mean repossession, but having to sell it.

2nd edit: I've only received advice on how not to loose the house. But I was more looking to see if anyone has sold under these circumstances and didn't regret it. Like, maybe they downsized as a result of the job-loss and were happier with that arrangement, or maybe they moved to a different area with cheaper housing. We do have some equity afterwards.
