Where in SF do you find deeper, meaningful connections?

I’m looking for communities or spaces in SF where people go to have deeper conversations and build grounded, platonic friendships.

I’m agnostic, but I'm considering checking out a Unitarian church or similar spaces for that kind of values-driven, community-oriented atmosphere.

Beyond that, are there specific intent-driven communities, small groups, or local spaces in the city where people gather for real, meaningful dialogue rather than small talk? Appreciate any recommendations!

Edit to clarify: I have a wide social circle around my niche interests (music, creative stuff), but am looking to branch out and want people to talk about things like existence, meaning, what fulfills you... I sometimes do this with creative community friends but not really with music friends at a loud bar (though, actually, I have done that recently, involved lots of yelling into their ears).

I'm not religious but I've heard Unitarian churches are more about general spirituality and community-building, hence my interest in that.

FA and phantom ex

I am an FA in recovery (I think) who was pursued by an FA over many years as a phantom ex. We never dated but both longed for it off and on. They were in other long-term relationships while still orbiting me. I thought I'd gotten over them but got attached again when they seemed to have matured. Now I think they're still firmly FA.

I thought I could be brave enough to make it work and help them get over the fear but I think they've again retreated to an easier option. I feel foolish. I'm not looking for advice, just commiseration or support or empathy from anyone who's been in similar situations. Just looking for kindness is all.

Most frequented/favorite business/place in your neighborhood?

Where in your neighborhood do you go the most or love the most, or that you would be really sad if it no longer existed? What makes you grateful to be in your 'hood? I just like seeing how people engage with their local communities and areas.

I live in Noe, and my favorite business is probably Noe Valley Bakery because I have a sweet tooth and I like their coffee (it's reduced price at "happy hour" near the end of the day).

I also like walking through Kite Hill, but that might be considered Castro/Noe cusp.
