Enjoyed that gig a lot.

Just wondering if radio travel updates are still useful for listeners, or is everyone using some form of sat-nav these days?

It'd be a shame for them to go. I like listening out for places I know or roads I've been on, even when listening in the kitchen with no intention of driving anywhere.

I'm going to see Moby on Saturday in Greenwich, London.

Just realised my ticket says that I have to be in by 3pm. Do they enforce this? If I do turn up after 3pm will I have to pay a fee?

In a supermarket in South East London this afternoon. Customer was politely questioned as there was a suspicion he may have been shoplifting, he hadn't, but the questioning was fair.

Anyway, the customer (white male, I'm guessing 60 odd) 'took the right hump' and ended up calling the security guard "a saucy kant".

This is not a post about shoplifting customer service etc, it's about the use of the word 'saucy' as an insult .

There can't be many people using that term anymore can there? Is it a term that is dying out or will see it's return one day? Or am I ignorant, maybe it's thriving?

I find it interesting that, as far as I can tell, we didn't have any players in any of the end of season player of the year awards (correct me if wrong).

I think it's been discussed elsewhere on this sub that Unai should have been on the manager of the season short list. Considering our final position and a trophy in the cabinet, should any of our players be on these lists? Or is it a sign of team strength that we didn't (in the judges eyes) have any outstanding individual players?

It's so hard to pick one....Buendia (Cash) v Spurs, Rodgers v M.Utd,, Buendia v Arsenal, McGinn v Forest, Youri, Buendia (Final)..... they'll be loads more.

There have been a few over the years. Winning penalties v Tranmere and Inter. SJM (v Forest), Duran (Bayern) more recently. A Watkins hatrick v Liverpool that no one got to see in person.

What are your most memorable?

They are obviously good to get to the final. I see they are 7th in the Bundesliga with no chance of catching 6th place (required for Conf league qualification).

I don't follow German football, so what are they like? Any standout players? Typical playing style etc etc.

Whilst watching the London marathon yesterday, it got me thinking. Obviously the distance is odd/quirky. So if we were to sit down and redesign the standard long distance race, how long would it be?

Would it be a bit shorter, a bit longer...or is it perfect as it is?
