how do i ask for less hours

just got hired at a fast food place for my first job (i'm in high school) and i'm being scheduled close to 30 hours a week, but that doesn't give me enough time for schoolwork and ECs, and also just to have free time

i'd like to be scheduled 15-20 hours a week, so my question is what's the best way to ask my manager for less hours? (it will be over text)

i'm not really sure how to ask, so any advice would be greatly appreciated!

got rejected from one location, is it too soon to apply to another?

for context I applied to the starbucks location closest to my house online and within two days had my interview at a different starbucks location. it was kinda weird it was at the location i didn't apply for but i didn't think much of it. fast forward to now i didn't get the job (i didn't get a reason, but it was almost certainly because i am in high school and i didn't have the right availability for them)

my question is should i apply to a different third location? i still want to work at Starbucks because of the pay and benefits, but Im not sure if the application would just get immediately denied because it seems like it doesn't matter what location i apply to? (i'm still not entirely sure how my application got picked up by another location)

is it worth it? or should i just apply elsewhere?

interview tomorrow, what should i expect?

hello! i'm a teenager in high school and this will be my first job (if i get hired)! i applied last night and i already have an interview scheduled tomorrow which is faster than i expected tbh, but my main question is what should i expect? i'm pretty nervous and don't want to go into this blind, i always like to be prepared haha! also, what should i wear? i imagine it's nothing too fancy but im just nervous lol

also, if i do get hired, what is working at starbucks like? especially as someone in high school?

thank you for any advice!!

how do i subtly make sure someone is wearing a good outfit while they're getting proposed to?

UPDATE: she showed up dressed up nicely and the proposal went smoothly (she said yes!) thank you to everyone for their suggestions!

for context tonight my brother is proposing to his girlfriend of 7 years, and i want to make sure she's wearing a good outfit and not something casual. she and my brother have already discussed their engagement, so she knows she's getting proposed to by the end of the summer and it's not a huge surprise, but a month or so ago i promised her that i'd make sure she was wearing nice clothes/was dressed up when it happened

he's going to propose at my grandparents house where both his/my family and her family are going to be there, and the plan is he proposes at the start and then the rest of the time is spent celebrating with hors d'oeuvres and champagne and the like

the problem is that she thinks it's just a normal family cookout at my grandparents (we have these 1-2 times a month during the summer months, so it's nothing unusual) and the attire is usually very casual, and often she'll wear just a t-shirt and jean shorts

how do i subtly make sure she's wearing something nice without making her suspicious? any advice is a great help!

how can i improve the background?

i think the thing i struggle with the most imo is creating backgrounds, especially for pieces where a character is not in a specific setting if that makes sense. anyways, i was wondering how i could improve the background so the character stands out more and it helps tie the piece together. any tips?
