Please, please pay attention to changes in your Golden’s behavior 🥹

Yes we lost our 6 year old Golden, Summit, yesterday to Hemangiosarcoma. He deteriorated quickly. He was lethargic, wouldn’t lie down, was bloated, and a long list of other symptoms. We took him in for an emergency visit. Found out he had Bladder stones and possibly Pancreatitis. They kept him overnight, gave him meds, and we picked him up the next day. He seemed fine at first but then he started standing in one spot outside for 3 minutes just dribbling pee. I called the vet again and we brought him in for an ultrasound. They found a bleeding tumor on his spleen. It was small which according to the vet usually means malignant. We were given choices, of course , but deep in our hearts we knew he was not feeling well and he would have to have two surgeries for the tumor and the bladder stones, putting him at risk for dying on the table. 😭We had to make a tough choice yesterday that I’m sure many of you have been through. We still have our Golden, Boone and I will be paying for a yearly ultrasound to hopefully catch any issues early for intervention.

I bought these little shelves from DT when they first came out (2 years ago?) and couldn’t think of what to do with them at the time but I found these old egg cups in my moms kitchen so the shelves were perfect! Finally lol

I am obsessed with the Dynamita chips and then saw these at DT yesterday and thought wow only $1.25, why not? I was pleasantly surprised! They are just like the brand name, except they are skinny sticks. I don’t know if they are new but I hope they keep them in stock! ( I also love the Trader Joe’s version but I don’t have one close to me 😞)
