Just wondering if in the 2008 part the younger versions of them were different actors. Bird looks the same but sorta different, so I thought that might’ve gotten look a likes, cause I was like there’s no way they have footage of this stuff. Like how do they have footage of Jay stepping over his younger self to write on the white board. Obviously a lot of smart filmmaking techniques.

I’m rewatching S2 and picking up on a lot of themes towards the male loneliness epidemic. All the pilots who seems to have the ‘most’ trouble with communication seem to be male. Regardless of the obvious dating awkwardness stuff shining the biggest light on this topic, but even the idea of not being able to express yourself emotionally or being real and letting that male guard down is a lot of times due to seeming like a wuss. I’ve myself have experienced a lot of that awkwardness in groups in high school at a young age, and even at my own place of business nowadays. Just really smart writing at Nathan’s part?
