QPR + Timber's Opinion On Marti Cifuentes (Former QPR coach)

Hello all,

I've been a Timbers and QPR fan for over a decade, watching both teams week in and week out. I've been to Timbers matches for a decade, and 10 QPR matches in the UK as a fan, and wanted to share my opinion of the new hire.

I initially felt a bad taste in my mouth when the news broke and I saw it on my timeline. Cifuentes left QPR in a bad way, going on paid administrative leave, hoping the grass would be greener at Leicester City (spoiler, it wasn't).

With that being said, it initially at times seemed like a great choice. The fans loved Marti, and we had chants for him that we would sing during matches (he eats Paella, drinks Estrella, hates Chelsea, etc). We rallied behind him and his team when it was going well, because the potential was there.

On the other hand, his attack-mind philosophy was pretty much all talk. The team would be stagnant for large stretches of games and over multiple games, and things went sour after multiple, long losing streaks full of poor in-game management and lineup selections, albeit at times he didn't have a lot to work with.

Is he better than Phil Neville? Absolutely. It's why I'm happy to see him get a chance. But I don't think hes the coach to bring us a MLS cup. It won't go well and he will leave, or take a better job elsewhere if it comes.

Please ask any questions about his time at QPR and I'd be happy to answer what I remember.

Is Townsville A Good Place For My Working Holiday?

Hello all,

In Mid-Feb of next year, I (24m, from the United States) am looking to spend the first 4-6 months (and longer if I like where I end up) of a working holiday. I've been researching where I can complete my 88 days and find some hospitality or administrative work (I have a 3-4 yrs of hospitality and medical administrative experience), and Townsville looks really appealing to me.

I'm happy to rent/flatshare, as budget won't be an issue, as I've got plenty of savings. I would like to have my share be around 350-450 $/wk. I'd arrive in Mid Feburary, and stay until July-August, if not longer.

In terms of hobbies and getting around, I can't drive but I'd love to have a bike, be in a walk-able area and/or have bus connections. I could go to Cairns or somewhere more rural, but I am looking for a place with a bit more population. I have also heard weather in Feb/March is warm and humid, but it's very similar to where I live in the Southern US, so I am heat-adjusted.

With that being said, does Townsville sound like the kind of place I would enjoy? Friendly people? Are holiday visa holders welcomed?

7(!) Year r/HypixelSkyblock Anniversary - Cake Flairs Available + Custom Flair Giveaway

Hello all,

Today marks the seven year anniversary of the Subreddit, which is genuinely insane, thank you all so much! To celebrate, and for the first time in four years, cake flairs will be available, for 48 hours.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Subreddit 7th Year Cake Flairs

We’re celebrating the Subreddit’s seven year anniversary by offering awesome brand new “7th Year Subreddit Cake” flairs. There is one flair for each rank, ranging from Default to MVP++, along with select skill-based rank flairs.

The next 48 hours (from the timestamp of this post, i.e. 6/14/26, 1am EST and 48 hours onward) will be the only time which you will be able to claim your “cake day” user flair to celebrate the Subreddit’s cake day. When they’re gone, they’re gone, so claim yours now!

YouTubers and Hypixel server staff members who wish to obtain a similar flair may contact Subreddit Modmail to request it. If you haven’t obtained the relevant user flair in the past, you should prove your identity with accurate screenshots in the same message as the user flair request.

NOTE: Changing your flair to a Subreddit Cake one will remove your current flair - so if you have a custom flair or earlier cake flair, DO NOT CHANGE YOUR FLAIR! We will not change it back for you if you do it by accident.

Also: As of this moment, we will not be updating Custom flairs today - unless you are a Youtuber or Hypixel Staff member. The only cake flairs that will be available are the ones which anyone can claim in the community options section. If you have a custom/rare flair you received before today, DO NOT CHANGE IT TO A CAKE FLAIR, YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE YOUR FLAIR BACK, UNLESS IN EXTREME CIRCUMSTANCE.

Custom Flair Giveaway

Just adding on a little something for people who read this thread. Leave a comment below and after 48 hours, I'll pick one user to get a custom flair. If this thread gets 70+ unique commenters, I'll pick an one additional winner. Good luck!

I'll be DM'ing winners directly, and you have 72 hours to claim once I reach out. Winners will be DM'd rules to what their flair can be.

I'll also announce the winners in a separate post. Over the coming days I may make a small change or two to the Subreddit for housekeeping sake, and I'll include that stuff there as well.

Good luck to all of those who enter, and thank you for a great 7 years (even though I have disappeared into the shadows for half of them...) Lots of love.

Hello all,

I am trying to attend Como vs Parma next week, but I am hearing conflicting dates as to when the match will happen.

I have read that all teams competing for the champions league must play at the same time - which would mean that Milan, Roma, Juventus, Como must play at the same time. Is this correct?

Also, I have seen that the Roma v Lazio match has been moved to Sunday, 12:30 which seems to be subject to change as nobody wants this. Would Como be moved to the same time as this fixture as well? Any insight would be appreciated.
