For 20 years my psychiatrist was a family friend, Dr. Boris Rubinstein. I trusted him because I basically grew up around him. When I finally confronted him about what his treatment did to me, he apologized… and then everything went completely sideways.

He and his wife showed up at my elderly parents’ house with my private emails, talking about lawyers and even jail. My parents are in their 80s. They were terrified. Later he filed a police report about me that he admitted under oath wasn’t true.
