This is part 2 of a rant I did 1.5 years ago, complaining about how Od keeps adding new power systems in the later arcs, and specifically about how Oda keeps fucking around with intangibility as a power because he doesn't want fights to become a boring slugfest, but then he can't think of a way to beat them so he just adds something new to beat it again. Now, almost a full year and 100+ chapters have passed (which is more than the entirety of what Kagurabachi currently has and it's on part 2), and has Oda explained how that power works and given us a fitting counter?

Fuck no. Who do you think is writing One Piece, someone competent?

Turns out that he decided not to add anything, but just make Haki the solution to intangibility again. Apparently if you scare the 'immortal Holy Knights' enough, they'll be unable to regenerate. Except Oda, there's this eensy weensy teeny tiny issue that you may or may not have forgotten about in your haste. Haki... is not supposed to work on them. And you'd think seeing Joy Boy in full force again would make the Gorosei scared or something and be unable to regenerate. BY making SCOPPER and ZORO be the ones to chop up the Holy Knight, you retroactively and currently imply that Citizen of Hell Zoro and an old geezer are scarier to the World Government than the literal incarnation of their worst fear. And then later we find out Haki doesn't work anyways and the Holy Knights just regenerated? So does Haki work or does it not, why, and how the fuck did Gabban find out about this?

But forget about that bullshit, because Oda once again introduced NEW BULLSHIT POWERS SYSTEMS! So now there's this guy called Imu, and he has the ability "Domi Reversi", which instantly possess literally anybody and turn them into a demon. How does it work, what are the restriction? Fuck you, this is One Piece, where everything is explained 100 chapters later, after Oda forgot about it. But the worst part is, that the way Oda writes this make it seem like EVERYONE is a fucking retard. I am not exagerating, it is so stupid in the way it's handled.

So when we are first introduced to Domi Reversi, it possess two of the ally giants of the Strawhats, as well as their smaller giant underlings. It turns them huge, give them devil horns, fangs, and wings. Everyone is naturally shocked by this, especially once they start attacking everyone. Now this is well and dandy, this is acceptable, if a bit of an asspull, if Oda just explains how this works within the next few weeks. Except 3 chapters after this he starts one of the LONGEST flashbacks in the entire series, the God Valley flashback. This not only delays the explanation, but also gives a counterexample to Domi Rerversi. Because in this flashback, Imu uses Domi Reversi again, this time to possess the grandparents of Rock D. Xebec.

To briefly explain, Xebec is an old ass pirate back before the era of pirates even began, when Gol D. Roger still roamed the earth. He got one of the strongest crews ever playing essentially IRL Mario Party minigames for them. This includes Whitebeard, a respected pirate who singlehandedly brought war to the World Government, Kaidou and Big Mom, major villains from before, and Useless Midd's precursor. Xebec, while running from his grandparents now attacking him, comments on how they aren't acting like themselfs, which is a weird thing to comment considering you just saw that they turned giant and have devil features.

But then, Rocks get ragebaited by Imu and he gets possessed. This is okay, we needed something that can actually counter Haki, but the issue is everything that happens around it. Because after getting posessed he starts attacking his allies, and Whitebeard starts believing that Rocks betrayed them and skedaddles.

ODA YOU HACK YOU ALREADY ESTABLISHED THAT DOMI REVERSIED PEOPLE LOOK LIKE THEY'RE DEVILS. DO YOU GENUINELY THINK FUCKING WHITEBEARD IS STUPID ENOUGH TO THINK THAT HIS OLDEST FRIEND, AFTER GETTING STABBED BY A BLACK GOOD AND TRANSFORMING INTO A DEMON, IS CURRENTLY NOT POSESSED?????

This view of Domi Reversi being invisible is also confirmed in the second Elbaph flashback, where one of the Strawhat's friend gets possessed and starts destroying shit, and the Strawhat assumes they've just gone insane from a devil fruit ig? So somewhere mid arc, he decided "You know this powersystem I just introduced? Yeah it doesn't work like that anymore, it's now like how Haki is entirely invisible(also a really stupid decision)"

In conclusion: I'm 90% sure Oda forgot what his own manga is about. he's already 50+ and has been writing One Piece for 30 years, I don't think he should write this anymore. Please Jump, give oda a stimulus check and swap him out with someone who can actually remember a plot thread for more than 5 minutes now. Oda lost it somehwere between Dresrossa and Wano.

I need to first give some context before you can judge me. I(19m) finished my first year of university around early May, and came back home for the summer until mid-late August. I am staying with my dad(43M) and mom(42F), together with my younger sisters(15F and 11F) . Over the course of May my parents were angry at my middle sister(15F) over her wasting too much time doomscrolling and doing make up, as well as being forced to move schools because she got into a catfight with some of her friends(idkF). For about a week they were yelling and berating her every day. However, when they were done, they started going at me, because by that point I've already been here for a month and haven't done anything productive. I've tried working on a personal project to improve my coding skills, but it's not been working out. This made my parents grumpy coming into June.

Now, about a week ago, dad wanted me to give him my plan for the project. I gave him a list of things I want to add to it to improve it and also learn. But he didn't like it, because he actually wanted a plan on how I plan to send it out and actually be useful. Then, I gave him that plan, but he didn't like it, and told me to use chatgpt to improve it. I did ask it for advice, and asked it to help me phrase it all in a way that he would understand. Then, I showed it to him, and he told me he actually wanted a timeline of this plan the entire time. So I went ahead and made an Excel sheet with timestamps.

Now here is where I ruin my parents marriage. Yesterday, I came to my dad to explain my timeline, but he told me it was bad because I wouldn't understand it in the future (not true but irrelevant) and told me to be more explanatory. Then he also told me to divide it into phases, and move it from a horizontal timeline into a vertical timeline. While talking I divided the timeline into appropriate phases by colour coding them. He then started yelling at me. My mom, who was in their room at the time, overheard and started defending me. They sent me away, while continuing to argue. While arguing, I tried to explain to mom that she didn't need to defend me, and that I understood the assignment dad gave to me, but dad for some reason screamed that I didn't understand actually, which mom contested saying that I understood it. She then went on to say that dad has been erratic lately, giving everyone mean remarks during dinner, which is untrue, as he didn't say anything about Mom, but she said that he insulted her with the look on his face while eating her food.

This caused them to fight harder. In the meantime, I continued working on the timeline, finishing exactly as dad told me to do. Then mom told me that it was too late to work and I should go to bed (again untrue, it was only 10:30pm). Afterwards, Dad came in and tried to tell me that he's sorry, and that he just doesn't want me to waste my time this summer doing nothing. I said that I accept his apology and that he should also say sorry to mom. Before he went, I remembered the timeline I was working on, and went on to show him what I did so far. He complimented it, saying that that was about what he wanted from me originally. But then he said that he didn't understand why I didn't uncolour code the phases of the timeline. I told him calmly that this is how I personally understood the graph better. He then asked me to me "add a cell between the phases", which after 3 minutes of fumbling I realized meant "add a row between the phases to indicate where one starts and the other begins. That upset me, because instead of all this drama he could've just told me it in one sentence "please add a row between the phases to differentiate them".

I told him to leave and started crying about how all of this was over literally nothing, to which he tried to figure out why I was crying, but Mom heard that I was crying and came in to force him out of my room. She then decided to lie in bed with me for around half an hour before leaving. During that time she told me that she's had enough of him constantly being overbearing on the family, and that unless he changes tommorow, she will buy tickets back to her parents city and we'll spend the summer there, while we already have tickets and hotels booked for a 2 week vacation in July.

Please tell me, am I the asshole for being a lazy sack of shit that can't do anything right?
