should I apply EA or regular?

my school only offers precalculus. I have just started practicing calculus AB on Khan Academy so that I can get my schoolhouse certification. I have not started my essays, but I know I can lock in. They say that there is no advantage to applying early, but looking at the numbers, there are less applicants and more admitted.

I’m sorry if the obvious answer is to apply regular, I’m just not sure if they’re is actually an advantage to applying early.

Should I apply EA or RD if I have a good EC in the winter?

I have a required senior project at my school and my plan is to raise a bunch of money and buy pcs to build for kids who need them in my community. The point of the pcs is for school work and to fuel stem projects for them since we really don’t have a lot of that where I’m at.

This would take place during the 1st semester of school. I think there is a possibility where I can cram it to be done before november 1st but if I want to do it comfortably I think finishing in December is ideal.

With that in mind, should I apply early action and just mention it or something? I want to have like real results numbers and say that I DID this thing not that I’m gonna.

I’m gonna be applying mostly to top 20s for a stem major.

Please help lessen my stress

I really want to get into a good school but literally like everyone that I see get into these colleges at LEAST has like an internship or like a project (with a crazy impact) that aligns with their major. I want to do something in stem (physics or nuclear engineering perhaps) but like I genuinely have no stem ecs. I do take like the max amount of stem classes that I can, and my test scores should be good. My stem hobbies/ecs are that I build computers and fix electronics. I just feel like I’m trying for something that is not possible with my current stats and there’s nothing I can do about it.

Please share any stories or experiences because it’s not going good rn😭

What is the downside of applying for ncm for me?

I am a rising senior and I am starting to apply for colleges. I am wondering if there is any downside to applying through quest bridge for my situation. My family makes just about $65k a year, I believe it’s 66 actually. Straight up the school I’m most interested in is MIT, is it bad if I just rank MIT 1st and then just like princeton and stanford after? If I don’t match with any schools and my MIT application gets rolled over to EA, is there a benefit? My essays would be completely different from the MIT essays, it seems a little odd to me. How much higher/lower would my admissions chances be? To me it seems like I should look at both the qb essays and the mit essays and decide which ones I like more. Any help would be appreciated

How to improve from a 1450?

I took the June SAT and got a 1450(710reading/740math), before that I got a 1330 in march (680 reading/650 math).
I studied quite a bit for the June test, but didn’t get the 1500+ that I wanted.
I took a pretty long and pointless break in between the june test and now. My biggest struggle is figuring out what I need to study. I had everything maxed out except for standard english conventions which I had one mark on, so that’s my biggest struggle for english. I’m fine if I can boost my english to even like a 730, I just want a 790-800 in math. Everyone says it’s relatively easy, so how do I get over this gap and gain 60 points in math? It seems like I know most of the material, and the test is no help since I have all of the sections maxed out.

Don’t get discouraged

This is kinda cope but I just want to reminder everyone that just because someone else said that they got a different answer, doesn’t mean that your answer is wrong. You used your best judgement in the moment and you have to remember that the SAT likes to set traps. Sure, maybe you fell for that trap, but someone else also could have just as easily. Everyone go home and relax. Play video games, hang out with your friends, take a nap, do whatever. Take the SAT out of your mind for a few days.

Chance this rural Junior for STEM

Ok I’m gonna just throw everything here and hope I don’t forget stuff. This is what I plan on my stats being during senior year. Current Junior
Stats
Rural town - less than 1,000 people and 100 at my school
School has extremely limited course options, they don’t like us deviating from our standard schedule. No APs or IBs offered
4.0 GPA no weight
9 DC classes (Pretty much maxed out of what I could do)
Family income ~$60,000
Current SAT is 1350, hoping for 1500+ before start of senior year. My 1350 is literally the highest I think anyone has ever gotten from my school and I barely studied
Awards and ECs
FFA chapter officer for 3 years
FFA District officer for 1 year
State FFA 3x champion, National top 10 for all 3
BPA state champions, national 2nd place
ASB officer
Track and Field 4 years
Part time job
NHS
Mock Trial
Schools:
Hoping to apply to MIT, Harvard, Princeton, UMich, Rice, Caltech, Berkeley, UIUC. These aren’t really safeties or matches at all just the ones that I wanted to hear input on.

I’m interested in aerospace or physics. Perhaps nuclear physics.

I’m just worried that I don’t have anything really stem achievement wise to show these schools. I have a very stem heavy course load but no stem ecs. What can I really do that involve my interests? I have high respect for the individuals who create those maker portfolios, but I really have no experience in that sort of thing and don’t want to larp it all my senior year. Are there any summer projects that I can do that involve my stuff?
