If this doesn't give you anxiety, nothing ever will.

This picture was clicked a while back and this highway didn't have EV chargers back then. I reached the destination with 2 km range left.

Is patriotism only limited to fighing with Pakistan?

My driver, 22, is working this job as part time and is a graduate in economics.

I was just talking to him and turns out he hasn't watched some of the very famous and good Bollywood movies. We were just having a fun chat, and I told him that he has to watch Rang De Basanti.

He asked me what is it about. I said it's kind of a patriotic movie which has a social message.

As soon as I said patriotic, he asked, is it about war or fights with Pakistan?

Why does our youth think that only fighting with Pakistan is the patriotic thing Indians can do? Aren't there any other issues which are way more grave than Pakistan? Our youth is so badly infected with all this religious hatred that it's very difficult to see.

Slavia. Which tires should I go for?

Hey everyone. My stock tires lasted for 80k kms. My usual running is on the highways and a little bit in the city. I have a light foot.

Which tires should I go for? Michelin are expensive, are they worth my use?

Please suggest.

For starters, I have always been a liar to my parents, and in my opinion, I don't think lying to them is a bad thing morally. Strict parenting. That's another discussion, but my father has always been a difficult person to impress. I have always been a subject to his unfulfilled happiness and desires.

I live in another city, 5 hours away from hometown, and my father's sister is terribly ill. We went to visit her 2 months back.

We are at a point that we are severely burnt out and need a break. We are planning a trip, but as soon as I tell my father, he will say, "you don't have time to come home, but you have time to go on trips, fine, do whatever you want". This "do whatever you want" irritates me to the core.

I can easily lie. I will have no regret. But I feel bad , I feel less when I realise that I am fucking 32, married, earning my own money, and still I have to lie for something as basic as a break in my life. My self worth starts questioning my ego. It's just about my ego, that why should I hide if I am right.

And I hate going to my hometown. I had a not nice childhood there and all the bad memories come alive and start haunting me. I can't explain this to anyone. Me going there won't make anyone better.

I see my wife's parents, they are super chill, they keep telling us, you both need a break, go somewhere. My parents never seem to understand that.

Do any of you still face the same? Lying to your parents at this age? How do you feel about it?

This was at 12.30 am. There was a wedding in an adjacent property where music was this loud till 1.30 am.

It was our first anniversary, and we went there to unwind and slow down, have some quiet time away from the city.

The big fat Indian weddings need to stop.

Stayed at The Tree of Life- Jaipur for a day.

The experience was very subpar considering that it is a Taj brand.

  1. Reservation- I booked through their official website and I didn't get any confirmation e-mail/ text/ call from anyone. I had to find a number, which by the way isn't available on the website (the property number). I had to call the central helpline to which no one responded.

I was forced to write a long e-mail showcasing my disappointment in the whole process. I received a booking PDF, wherein no check in time/ check out time was mentioned. I received a call from the property later for the confirmation.

It was my 1st anniversary, and I wanted a few special arrangements. I tried contacting them again, but again, to my disappointment, wasn't answered.

I had to write an email, again, and they told me I'll get some balloons and some feet soaking in water thingy. Just got a few balloons, no feek soaking.

  1. The food- The food was good, but basic, very limited menu, with no presentation at all. Again, Taj standards were not held.

  2. Amenities- Game room was under equipped. The washroom there was dirty, mirror was broken.

  3. Location- The property is at a very serene location, it's clean, fairly maintained I would say, its good for unwinding. The road leading to the property is bad, it's like punishing your car.
