How do you think the 16 million American WWII veterans would react if they were alive to see Neo-Nazis marching through our nation's Capitol on July 4th weekend?

"To every complex problem, he promises a simple solution.” But, [JD Vance] argued, such promises were a cheap high. “He never offers details for how these plans will work, because he can’t. Trump’s promises are the needle in America’s collective vein.”
“Trump is cultural heroin,” Vance wrote. “He makes some feel better for a bit. But he cannot fix what ails them, and one day they’ll realize it.”
CBS takes the red bait and neglects Trump's intention for MAGA , fka "Republicans," to steal every election for the next century.
Trump quote reported by Huff Post: "if we terminate the filibuster as we should do and immediately vote for the SAVE America Act, then we will not lose an election for 100 years.”
Donald Trump celebrates 250 years of democracy by announcing his plan to steal elections for the next 100 years:
"if we terminate the filibuster as we should do and immediately vote for the SAVE America Act, then we will not lose an election for 100 years.”
“Trump cares about two things, and two things only: himself and money.”
The day after Washington's annual gas tax increase, average gas prices are $0.17 per gallon lower than a week ago. It's almost like taxes aren't the primary driver of gas prices....
"Let’s be clear: Carville helped design the machine that locked everyday people out of power. His era hollowed out the party of labor, repackaged it for corporate donors, and told working-class communities to be patient while their jobs were offshored, their unions were broken, and their basic needs were turned into bargaining chips."
In other words, he's done far more damage to the Democratic Party than any Democratic Socialist ever could.

“Many of the individuals affected by this decision are our neighbors, coworkers, business owners, taxpayers and parents,” Springfield Mayor Rob Rue said in a statement.
“They contribute to our local economy, support our schools, strengthen our neighborhoods and have become part of the fabric of Springfield. … We value every person in our community and remain committed to maintaining stability and support for those who call our city home.”

"Among those accused of vandalism was David Carter Hearn, 67, a cyclist and three-time Olympian as a canoeist who says he stopped at the site Friday just to have a look, then reached down to touch a strip of peeling blue paint mixed with the algae.
The U.S. Park Police arrested Hearn shortly after, accusing him of destroying government property, a crime that can carry up to a 10-year prison sentence. Hearn denies the charge."
Vance: It's open.
Iran: No it isn't.

I sent my D500 back to Nikon's service center in California on May 18th and received it back on June 11th. The toggle to move the focus points was no longer working. I had just over 583,000 clicks on the shutter, so I had it replaced. They cleaned it thoroughly. It came back to me good as new, with several buttons and the On/Off switch working better than they were when I sent it in. Looking forward to getting to 1 million shots over the next 4-5 years.
The cost was very reasonable: just under $350, including shipping it back to me. Much cheaper than any decent replacement!
My only complaint about the service was that the communication from Nikon was pretty poor. They received the camera on the Thursday before Memorial Day weekend. When I went to approve the cost estimate, the website was down for maintenance. It ended up being down for 5 1/2 days before I could approve and pay. Besides one text a week later that the repair was assigned to a technician, I didn't receive any other information. I called and emailed them multiple times, and all they could tell me was to check the website for updates (which was never updated). I only knew it was on it's way back when UPS notified me that it would be delivered the next day.
But again, the quality of the repair/cleaning appears to be outstanding, so I'm very satisfied overall. The D500 is a superb wildlife camera, and I'm happy to have it back in my hands, ready for action.

Netanyahu’s greatest success was finding a US president he could persuade to go to war with Iran with him, but that glimmering triumph has turned to ashes in his hands."
“You couldn’t have looked harder than we did,” [Former Washington State Republican Party Chair Chris Vance] said in an interview. “There has never been a scintilla of evidence of organized fraud out there that actually makes a difference in an election.”
