Are Smart rings doomed?

I have been following up this subreddit since I starting looking up for RingConn gen 2 Kickstarter.

Wasn't able to get the ring delivered in my country.

But then I ordered Galaxy ring.

  1. It lasted 6-7 months before completely stopped being charged.

  2. Was under warranty, got it replaced.

It has been another 9 months now, treated the charge cycle with caution and now it the charge has reduced to 3-4 days now from 8-9 days.

I know it is the physical limitation of the battery to hold the charge and keep going for so many charge cycles, but this should have been communicated to use before by the companies.

Are you guys going to buy your second smart rings?

How things have changed PS5 Edition.

This is from 2024.

I Bought my PS5 in 2023 for 52k, similar days like what we are seeing now, flash sales, limited stocked, there were telegram channels to notify stocks, felt like a big achievement when I got it.

But then next year, they were showing up this cheap on Flipkart sales.

Tired of logging my expense, I'm creating a solution to do it Automatically.

Hi All,

I'm tired of logging my expenses, categorizing them, every day/weekly.

I want it to happen automatically,

All apps I know records my credit card payments (making it count twice) and Investments as expenses as well.

Since I receive all transactions on sms, I want it to be device only not allowed access to my Gmail or anything else. Everything remains on device.

Things I have thought about what I can do:

  1. Automatic tracking and tagging of my expenses (in which category my spend goes to)

  2. Managing my budgets for each category.

  3. Track (to an extent) about credit card bill payments.

  4. OTPs, truecaller is only the one I like the UI of, and it floats. But it is full of ads and I don't want to give it my sms access.

For investments I believe there are a lot of apps who do a decent job, not sure if it provides value.

Is this something that can help you guys as well?

Building my own app for Renault Duster 2026 [OC]

Building my own app for Renault Duster 2026 (might work for other cars, untested)

Building for

  1. Better interface, login issues, slow laggy performance.

  2. Tracking my fuel usage, refuel and all in one place automatically For Indian market for now.

  3. Some cool Widgets for home screen.

Planned for now:

  1. Adding lockscreen widgets.

Also a lot more of information of your vehicle,

-Your Renault connect subscription etc. which Renault doesn't expose on their app.

Currently under development and testing.

Would like your opinion.

A lot of efforts went into brute forcing my way to Renault's Indian APIs,

Testing what and how it works.

Would like your opinion on this, how it looks what it shows etc.

[OC] MyRenault app not working on Duster 2026

It has been more than 2 weeks since I got the Duster delivery, but this is the state it has reached now.

Now my VIN number is registered, but no app functionality shows up or works. The dealership looks helpless on this.

This is Renault Duster 2026 Iconic DCT (India)

Is this the state with you guys as well?

What can be done about this?

I have read their internal documents, it says this should be activated before the delivery date.

My First Car! Duster

I got the new Sunset Red Duster Iconic.

It's been more than a week, Running great.

Things working good, despite the online reviews:

  1. AC working great for me.

  2. 360 camera is not great as compared to seltos and creta, but honestly it works great for what it is meant for.

Few hickups:

  1. 360 camera stopped working as soon as I left the showroom, had to reset to factory settings, no issues since.

  2. MyRenault app is not working, doesn't recognise the VIN number. Has this been the case with everyone?

  3. Accessories are not available at service centers - 7D floor mats, spare tyre etc. Waiting period told to be 15days.
