First time trying altering a card -general tips appreciated

I’ve been getting back into painting warhammer and I decided I’d take a stab painting over some mtg cards to extend the art on some and used this as a practice cause I felt like extending the blood would be easy. I feel like it turned out decent, definitely not as good as some of the stuff I’ve seen people do on here though, yall are talented asf.

Any general tips on how to make the lines pop a bit more? It’s simple with models cause the lines are defined for you but having a totally flat canvas is kinda difficult.

Recently started painting again after a few years away

Just got back into painting and have been slowly finishing out the combat patrol I got a few years back. They’re not all done yet but I Love the dark angels colour schemes. It’s nice to swap to some termi’s when I get sick of doing green, I also got a little carried away and started doing some bases for the termis. Added a cheeky little dwarf guy I’ve been workin on at the end for my dnd campaign.

Rate em!

I can post decklists as well if anyone’s interested

Hearthull: Bracket 2/3 not very modified off the precon list. Maybe 3/4 swaps.

Wan shi tong: maybe my strongest bracket 3 deck, controls big threats and builds a huge board of unblockable 1/1’s. Does surprisingly well. Lots of countermagic, blink/clones and “put things into library” effects. Once all the pieces come together it can be very overwhelming.

Ms bumbleflower: bracket 3, base precon but I added seedborn muse because the cards nuts and lets me proc her on other peoples turns more often.

Green goblin, nemesis: kinda mid deck that I built because I had the scene box and a ton of turtles cards work really well for discard. Pretty weak deck in my pod but Can pop off rarely and really only wins through underworld breach or cool but rude (odd chance for commander damage win)

Aang at the crossroads: my main and practically only cEDH deck I play heavily. Clone chain baby!

Avatar aang: my absolute favourite deck to play because of the little minigame that comes from flipping Aang. bracket 3 because I added the gamechangers I got from the commander bundles. basically ally tribal I built ONLY using avatar set cards (aside from 10 lands and mana rocks, while I skipped including black, the rocks and lands help with the 4 colour mana base because all the dual lands from avatar come in tapped) the whole goal of the deck is to naturally flip Aang using all the bending in a turn (no moonmist here, the minigame for getting all the bending pieces together is tons of fun and if I successfully flip him naturally I consider that a win in my books)

Forgot to add them but I really like playing kwain, itinerant meddler as well. Super fun group hug/pillow fort that wins through decking itself or opponents. I took out approach of the second sun because that win con feels kind of boring to me.
