Common speaker knowledge?

Is it common knowledge that is one speaker wire is a little loose it causes all 4 speakers to lose sound? I have an Atoto S8 9" head unit in my 04 with the factory amp and sub, everything was working great for a while then recently I lost all sound from the speaker however the subwoofer still worked. After some digging and wiggling I discovered when I opened and closed my rear driver door the sound would come and go from all the speakers. One of the connections on the speaker was a little loose but it surprised me that one speaker can kill all 4?

In any case, we are back up and bumping so if anyone needs that particular information, here it is!

S8 Gen3 sudden sound loss

I installed an S8 9" in my honda which has a factory amp and sub. It's only been a little over a month and everything has been great until this last weekend when I started my car and I had no sound from my door speakers but the sub was still working. After a little while of driving the sound came back and stayed. This morning everything worked great, driving to my wife's work, still working great, start the car to drive home and it happened again. It's about 83 degrees out so I was thinking it's a heat issue, and since I got stuck with the output converters maybe those are getting too hot?

I haven't pulled the unit to check wiring yet since it's basically an oven in the sun, but we hit some railroad tracks and stuff going home and nothing changed so maybe I can rule out a loose wire? I'm looking for some ideas before I pop the unit out and start wiggling wires, thanks!

Well would ya look at that

I put a stereo in and among the challenges that came with that was an abundance of bass hitting my speakers. When I would turn the volume up to hear my music while I was driving I would start to hear a rattling/slapping type of sound in the doors. Well today I finally decided to investigate and see how hard it would be to swap them out for some infinity speakers I had in my garage.

When I popped off the grill the speaker surround stuff fell out like crumbs in the bottom of a bag of chips. I popped off the OEM wire plug, fit the slip connectors on the speaker legs and attached them to the door. They sound soooo much better! I can feel the bass now, everything sounds so clear at both low and high volumes... And, taking off the speaker grills was way easier than I thought.

I've only had my element for a little over a month and it continues to surprise and impress me!

Issues with video playback

I've been having a strange issue that is a little hard to explain but I'll give it a shot. When I'm watching a movie or show on a local drive using either the built in video player or VLC, whatever I'm watching will sometimes "reset" when I pause it. At first I thought it was something to do with using the spacebar until it happened when I clicked the pause button. The program will still be up but whatever I was watching will be sort of unloaded? Basically as if I just manually opened the program.

It seems to be consistent with both MP4 and MKV files, I don't have any issues in terms of audio or video, the files play fine all the way through but when I hit pause it kind of resets. On VLC I tried changing some codec settings and the video output settings but none seemed to help. Because it's happening with 2 different programs I have not tried to uninstall VLC and reinstall.

I am on the latest regular update, and all of my programs are updated. I'm not really sure what to search since I don't know if it's crashing or not, I don't get any errors however if I close VLC and reopen it by double clicking the movie/video file, there is a prompt at the top to continue where I left off.

Sorry for the novel, I'm not sure how else to explain what's happening.
