E1 Second Valve Slide Problem

Hi, I've recently gotten a brand new Adams E1, and I've noticed that the second valve slide is extremely hard to pull out.

It's not due to me not pressing the second valve down, and the slide's prongs and casing don't appear to be misshapen. I've also kept them well lubricated.

I don't really know what the cause is, but what I've noticed is that the problem seems to be with the shorter prong. The longer prong goes in and out easily, almost like a trombone slide, while the shorter prong goes in smoothly until about halfway in, where it suddenly gets clunky and becomes very hard to move in or out. If I push it all the way in, I have to loop a cloth through the ring and pull with all my might to get it back out.

Does anyone else have this same issue? If so, have you managed to resolve it? How?

MTP Euphonium triggerkit

Hi, does anyone here own the MTP triggerkit? I'd like to know more about it, and hear some experiences with it. Am considering buying one for my E1, it has no trigger, and i could send the kit to a local shop for them to adjust it to fit the E1 better if it doesn't fit well stock.

Euphonium Trios

Hi, this school year I'll be taking part in an Euphonium Trio, and I need help to find repertoire that is available online and isn't just arrangements of modern pop music and all that junk.
Any recommendations for what to bring?

Suggestions for captivating concert pieces to play with a wind ensemble?

Hi, I'm looking for a piece to play solo with my wind ensemble that can captivate the audience well, originally I was going to play Pantomime, but I really dislike that piece, so I'm looking for something else. Something in the spirit of Pearls, but not as long, and not as complex. In the difficulty range of Pantomime, where you can assemble it properly in less than a month, but still having it sound interesting and makes the crowd keep track of it. Thanks.

I'm finally buying an Adams!

After a while of saving up, I'm managing to purchase an Adams E1. It's in silver plate, without a trigger, 060 bell. Got it at a small discount since it's an exhibition model, so am getting it for 7000€ instead of 7500€. I spent a whole week playing it, and just fell in love with it. Updates soon, I'm very excited!

Musescore setting scores to Musesounds on the website despite being set to MS Basic in editor?

Hi, I've just upload my arrangement of the overture to candide for Euphonium-Tuba ensemble, and despite having saved it as MS Basic, on the website its playing back with Musesounds, which just sounds awful. I despise the Musesounds Tuba and Euphonium, I haven't even paid for the euphonium, Why did it do this???

Prices for custom Adams E1

Hi,
I'd like to know how much owners of custom Adams E1s have paid for their instrument NEW out of the factory, as I'm planning on ordering one myself.
The configuration I want is as follows:
0.60 red brass bell, satin lacquer, trigger with protection plate, heavier valve buttons with wooden inlays

Looking for a new instrument

Hi, I'm Portuguese, and I'm looking to upgrade my euphonium
Right now I'm playing on a student besson 165, it sucks, I'd like to get something professional.
Issue is money, what's the best thing I can get for the cheapest price possible? Anything under 6-7K is good, anything under 4K is better.
I'm looking for something similar to a Yamaha 842 (saw one of them used going for 2.9, but it got sold before I could buy it.)
I don't have all the cash I need, as I'd only be able to afford buying one after selling my current instrument.
I have 1.4K saved up, and am hoping get like 3K next month if I manage, I have some gigs.
I went to a shop that said that it'd be easy to sell my current euphonium for around 1.5k, 1.6k if I got it a touch up. It's pretty much like new, there's only some miniscule usage marks on the bell and lower bow.
Please help! Attach links please, listings you find for used instruments, preferably ones I can try but if it's a really really good deal I don't mind getting it shipped internationaly, or even new instruments from vendors I haven't seen!
