What version of Moby Dick should I read?

Im not much of a classic literature person but Moby Dick has been on my radar for a while. Being a marine biology major and enjoying stories about human flaw has me eager to pick up this read. Google says the Norton critical edition is best but there are a ton of versions to choose from.

Some critics on other versions seem like topics I’d honestly be interested in such as the history of whaling. I also have no problem reading books over 1000 pages.

I really just want a good translation that remains loyal to the original literature.

What maps after BO3 are worth playing?

Personal rankings-

  1. Die Machine
  2. Nine
  3. Ancient Evil
  4. Citadelle
  5. Blood of the Dead (Very biased)
  6. Terminus

BO4-

Coming into BO4 I had never been more excited for a games release. I never liked BO4s health/perk mechanics from the start but I’ll say Nine absolutely shocked me. Nine and Ancient Evil are really the only maps that fit the BO4 engine and are the only 2 I would recommend. However you can’t buy individual maps on bo4 and have to buy the season pass. I would not say ancient evil is worth 40 bucks.

I thought BOTD was way over hated and has one of the coolest atmospheres and EE. I think if your a big fan of the BO3 story then you’d enjoy this map. Classified was a fun little map but died off quick.

Cold War-

Die Machine is one of my favorite maps ever. It seemed like none of the other CW maps had as much passion as Die Machine. I was worried this map would be a Nacht remaster nostalgia money grab but if anything, playing Nacht makes me nostalgic for Die Machine. I’m usually not a high round guy either but I believe this is the best/most fun map for high rounds.

BO6-

Citadelle was pretty fun. Der Eisendrach is my favorite map so this one hit close to home. I can’t say it had to replay ability that DE had though. Still I would recommend. As a big extinction fan, I would recommend Terminus just for the boss fight.

BO7-

I have not bought BO7. Are any of the maps worth the money?

Edit including Chronicles and IW-

Honestly all the chronicles maps but mostly Moon. Spaceland and Rave in the Redwoods I absolutely recommend too.

What are the most memorable moments from this season?

The Vandy-Tennessee series was truly incredible. It was by far the best SEC series. Thats saying a lot compared to the Msstate vs LSU series. It was the best Super Bulldog Weekend I’ve ever witnessed. Jacob Parker’s grand slam had to break some sort of decibel record for a cb game. Watching UCLA get upset was wild too.

I don’t know if anything can top what Oklahoma did though. The impact that walk off against GA Tech had will be historic.

Anyone know a trusted source where I can buy this?

Found this on Tik Tok but the website was from Russia and kinda sketchy. It looks like a custom design and is honestly something I would frame.

Does anyone know if this design exist on a trusted website?

I believe the Ogopogo picture is a dead female mallard.

After putting these images on top of each either, I think it’s pretty clear what we’re looking at. The “Ogopogo” picture is likely a more decomposed duck than the one on top. The “horns” are just the ducks flippers folded over. What makes the “Ogopogo” look scaly is just the feather pattern a lot of female ducks have. The water seems to cloudy to clearly see the ducks head but do we need to?

I think whoever took this Ogopogo picture new it was a duck but snagged some pictures that look very much like a sea monster.

If you disagree please let me know why.

Which Nirvana song belongs in “The Batman Part II”?

I feel like something in the way is now associated with batman based on how well it fit the vibe in the last movie. Robert Pattinsons narration in between the lyric gaps created what I consider the most iconic intro to a super hero movie.

I’d be shocked if they didn’t go for another Nirvana song. Honestly I wouldn’t be upset if they used something in the way again and there may not be a more fitting song.

I think this group would definitely fit the vibe though-

  1. Heart shaped box
  2. The man who sold the world
  3. Come as you are
  4. Where did you sleep last night
  5. For a fight/chase scene, endless nameless

I just accidentally discovered “Endless, Nameless”.

I’ve recently become a bigger fan of Nirvana and got Nevermind and Insecticide on CD for my birthday. I always thought it was weird that after something in way it doesn’t loop back to smells like teen spirit.

Yesterday I unintentionally let the Nevermind CD keep playing silently until a song I had never heard of started playing. The guitar rifts in between the screaming go so hard. I thought my CD was just messed up. After researching the intention of this songs place in the album it has such a cool story.

From what I read the band was got frustrated during the recording of lithium and just started doing a free style. Kurt Cobain demanded the track be included after it was accidentally left off the initial pressings of the album. Because 20,000 copies were already printed without it, it was added as a secret track separated by dead air.

If endless nameless was this good as a freestyle I can only imagine how cool it would be to watch Nirvana perform a live freestyle.

Does anyone know more details and the origins of this song?

For me-

  1. Garlic scented neon tail dip for lizards.

In dark water that neon tail can provide additional visibility. I don’t know how much scents help in general but I’m sure it better than a plastic scent.

  1. Trail hook on buzz baits.

I learned this trick from 1rod1reel and it helps so much. Fishing top water in general, you get more hits than bites. The trail hook has heavily increased the odds of hooking in my experience.

Slides-

  1. Southern Redbreast, Dollar Sunfish, and Orange-spotted Sunfish.

  2. Longear, Gulf Longear, and Ozark Longear.

  3. Red-spotted, Spotted, and Red-ear.

  4. Bluegill, Copper-nose Bluegill, Green Sunfish, and greengill (Bluegill x Green Sunfish).

  5. Flier Sunfish, Warmouth x Green Sunfish, and Warmouth x Bluegill.

For the prettiest I would say between the Redbreast, Ozark Longear, or Red-spotted. Red-spotted Sunfish are not too common but one of the most underrated in my opinion.

I still have not caught a Pumpkin Seed or most northern species.
