I need your two cents
My father passed away last year, and my mother received a pension and other benefits from his previous work. That money was supposed to help support our family's needs, but she spent a large portion of it building an extra room in our house, which I honestly feel was unnecessary at the time.
Meanwhile, we barely have food at home. Our refrigerator is empty, there is no milk, no snacks, and sometimes I have to go to a friend's house just to eat a proper meal. Now I need to enroll in my summer classes, but my mother says she doesn't have money for my enrollment.
What makes this even harder for me is that when my father was alive, my mother would often tell him that he never contributed anything to our family. Hearing that always hurt because I know how hard my father worked and how much he sacrificed for us. He always did his best to provide, so it's painful to see the money he left behind not being used for our basic needs or my education.
Am I wrong for feeling angry, frustrated, and disappointed about this situation? I'd appreciate hearing your thoughts.
