How do I replace this USB-C Port?
Hey all, sorry if this is the wrong place.
This is probably basic, but I'm confused by this usb-c port replacement, because it seems to have some sort of shield over the top and on the bottom and I don't really know what I'd need to do to replace it? Or if it can be replaced?
The laptop is an Acer Spin 5 SP513-52N. I've seen USB-C replacement videos, but usually it's just the USB-C port on the board and easy peasy.

The port does work but it's doing that thing where it only charges if you hold the cable in a certain way. The Laptop supports USB-C Charging but it's super fiddly with it. If you try charge at any rate that isn't 20v 2.5W, it'll cause the laptop to slow down massively. I can only use 45W chargers with it, 65W or 100W chargers, even if they support 45W, will cause slow down. It's also somehow fried 2 45w ugreen chargers.
So in the first case, I'm not sure what part I'd even need to get to replace this, and in the second case, I'm just a bit unsure on what I need to safely solder off and if it's going to be worth the trouble?
I've never done a USB-C repair before, only done very basic soldering but I have a solder kit and a hot air station so I reckon I have the tools and it might be fun. But not if it could come at the expense of ruining the whole motherboard haha because I need the laptop.

[Side question. I have some spare parts for the laptop including the entire display which is touchscreen and has Stylus support. Any fun projects I could try? Also got touchpad spares and I/O ports]
Thanks!
