How do you know when you’re for sure going to throw up

I haven’t thrown up in 20 years since I was like 5, so a lot of my phobia comes from fear of the unknown. How do you know when it’s for sure going to happen. Like what’s the switch from “I’m feeling nauseous” to “oh I HAVE to throw up?

My soul scent is a let down 😭

Just venting I guess? I discovered In This World by Liis after ignoring a sample of it for months. I sniffed it again and OMG it is absolutely me in a bottle. It feels like someone bottled my soul, it’s everything I want to smell in a fragrance. But the longevity is absolutely tragic. I bought a full bottle and I’ve used nearly 1/4th in 2 months because I spray it so much. When I say I get MAYBE 30 minutes of wear, I unfortunately really mean it. I’m sooo disappointed :( I welcome any longevity tips, although I’ve tried most of the standard ones. Ugh!!

Tips for 6 hour solo flight

As stated above, I’m taking the longest flight I’ve ever taken alone in a few days and I’m freaking out. I have severe flight anxiety because of emetophobia but also general anxiety. I usually travel with my husband or if I do fly solo it’s like a 2 hour flight, so I’m panicking about 6 hours. I’ve never gotten airsick in my life but my brain is convincing me that I will get sick on this flight. I know it’s irrational but I’m spiraling. Does anyone have tips or just support for taking a long flight by yourself? 🥲

Terrified of Ubers

One of my dumbest triggers with this phobia is Ubers. I live in a city and the Ubers are all horrible drivers that make me motion sick or their car smells horrible and it’s overall just an unpleasant experience. I have to take an uber tonight that’s around 30 minutes because I can’t get there via public transportation and I’m so nervous and really don’t want to go. Anyone else struggle riding in cars/ubers?

Developing a fear of being dizzy

The dizzy/lightheaded feeling I get from being anxious, which I am 24/7, makes me even more anxious. I think I am developing a fear of it, it scares the shit out of me I also have emetophobia which probably plays a role, but the dizziness is making me actually insane. I am so afraid of passing out or being perpetually dizzy for the rest of my life. How the f do you break this cycle 😭

Fear more related to dizziness?

Is anyone else’s phobia more related to dizziness/vertigo than it is tummy issues? I’m pretty good at being able to tell when a stomach ache is from gas, or acid reflux, etc. What triggers me the most is feeling dizzy or motion sick or vertigo (I don’t even have vertigo). Where as some people are constantly body checking in their stomach I feel like I am constantly body checking my head and eyes. The constant anxiety causes me to feel dizzy too. A super fun cycle 🥲

How to not let a panic attack ruin the day

Had a panic attack this morning at work, it’s happened before but this was a bad one. It’s passed but now I feel so low. Depressed, embarrassed, still kind of anxious and just this yucky impending doom feeling. I have plans tonight and I want to cancel soooo bad but I don’t want to let this ruin the day. How do you get out of a funk after a bad panic attack?

Triggered by smells

Lately I’ve been getting really triggered by smells; food smells, certain colognes/perfumes, smoke, etc. The smell makes me feel nauseous and then I Panic thinking the smell will make me throw up. It’s irrational, I know, but I can’t stop it from freaking me out. Does anyone have tips on how to desensitize yourself to smell? I use alcohol wipes but sometimes I feel like I’m trapped with the smell and can’t avoid it. I know this sounds insane.

▲ 2 r/weed

I’m planning a 30th birthday for a friend who’s a big smoker and I’m trying to come up with a punny weed related 30th birthday theme. I’m not big into weed myself so I’m coming up blank. Google searches have only provided really cheesy shit. Anyone have any clever suggestions?

I’ve been on lexapro for several years now but have found it to be less effective lately. My doctor wants to switch me to Zoloft on a slow cross tapering schedule, but I am borderline traumatized from how horrible it was adjusting to taking lexapro for the first time. Is the cross tapering process easier side effect wise than starting an SSRI for the first time?

This isn’t entirely emetophobia related, but it is triggering my emetophobia. Lately I’ve been experiencing random bouts of dizziness and vertigo. It’s also worth noting that I’ve been really anxious lately for non emet-related reasons. I don’t know if the anxiety is causing the dizziness or what, but it’s making me even more anxious and I’m terrified that I’ll get so nauseous that I throw up. Does anyone have experience with vertigo and how to treat it?
