Having more masteries does not inherently make someone stronger

Can't believe I actually have to make a post on this, But more masteries or having a "unique skill" doesn't grant you superiority over other characters with less masteries or no unique skill.

I think this mostly started with Jaegyeon vs Yujae and Tom vs J but these are very small instances where that additional mastery made a difference.

When comparing characters mastery count can only be used if they are relative without it and a unique skill can make a difference only if both characters are relative using masteries

For eg: Zack isn't stronger than 2M James just because he has an additional mastery

More examples of how mastery logic doesn't hold up

Real humans on this Reddit think this will be a mid-high diff fight. GUN VS GOO was a mid diff fight, and y'all think no.4 on the fist gang is touching James Lee. PTJ is using Tom as a James hypetool to build him up.

Basic storytelling and narrative understanding should tell you how this fight will go 1) James no diffing or 2) Tom gets an amp and it goes Similar to James vs Taesoo, with him holding back and then no diffing.

And yes, if James no diffs tom that isn't impressive or an upscale since EVERY Top tier can do the same.

Quick breakdown of how Seongji never went all out against James.

Slide 2: First, we need to establish how Seongji uses Mujin's ssireum, and that is grabbing the bones and breaking them; he doesn't do this against James at all.

Slide 3: That is simply because James is a kid. All throughout Cheonliang, it's shown how much Seongji cares for kids and is the reason why he asks James to leave and "go home" throughout the fight because he doesn't want James' mom to get worried, not because he's cocky, but because he just wants James to leave.

Slide 4: "But he just wasn't strong enough to break James Lee's bones. Just because he broke fodder bones does not mean he can replicate that on James. 👿👿👿👿"
As you can see, if he wanted to, he easily could've, especially 3M Seongji.

Slide 5 (2M James vs. 2M Seongji): The fight starts, and Seongji grabs James, but all he does is slam him into the ground; he never attempts to break his bones throughout the fight. Even after James overpowers him, he uses strikes and not Mujin's sseirum.

Slide 6 (3M Seongji Vs 2M James): Seongji, after awakening, slams him and then proceeds to fight while striking and kicking instead of using his SSeirum to break his bones and end the fight, despite being stronger.

Slide 7: Also Seongji's all or nothing attack is a punch and not Mujin's ssireum

Slide 8: Even if all of this somehow didn't convince you, this is how Seongji defends himself against kids vs. adults.

Slide 9: Conclusion
