Tired of seeing the doom about unsold tickets that I’d like to give a counterpoint.
In the past couple weeks I attempted to secure tickets to see a band through preorder and the on sale date only to be shut out totally. This band has booked an appropriate sized venue for their popularity and should come close to selling out before show date.
Scalpers also know this and see an opportunity. Scalpers snagged as many as they can and fans are heading to resale market.
Artists can either book a venue they know can fill close to capacity and deal with the resale tickets. Or book a larger venue knowing all that want to come can and there will be empty seats.
What he did with his tour allowed my wife and I to grab 4 show dates with 2 being pit tickets. This other band, i may have to hope for cash or trade resales.
