Thinking of using an ETM on Virizion for UL. Looks very meta relevant and I need a better start for dealing with all the water types.

One of the harder GBL concepts I’m trying to understand is maintaining alignment after losing switch. Currently around 1800 ELO and looking for advice.

Team:
Lead: Swampert
Safe swap: Corviknight
Closer: Togekiss

Example scenario:

Opponent leads Venusaur → I swap to Corviknight → they bring in Skeledirge and farm me down.
At that point, is the correct play usually to bring in Togekiss instead of Swampert? My thought is if I bring Swampert, they can just go back to Venusaur and I’m stuck losing alignment again.

Is this just a bad team comp into Skeledirge, or am I misunderstanding how I should handle these situations?

like I’ve hit a wall around 1800 ELO in Great League. My current team is:

Lead: Altaria
Safe Swap: Lickilicky
Closer: Empoleon

I’m wondering if I just need to get good or this team can push to Ace+. I’ve thought about switching Lickilicky with Furret using brick break and trailblaze but need to find a good one.

Overall Altaria + Empoleon is my core and I think they complement each other well but again it may be a skill issue.

- Sand attack
- Sky Attack (air cutter when I get an ETM)
- Payback

Closer: Swampert
- Mud Shot
- Hydro Cannon
- Earthquake

This is my first attempt at an Ultra league team. I think it’s pretty well rounded with attacks and typing but I’m curious if I’m missing anything.

Weaknesses are Electric and Ice but so far have been manageable. Built with pvpoke just in case anyone suggest go there, I also want other people’s thoughts.

Looking to evolve one of these guys but I’m not sure which stats have more value. I typically play in GL. Thoughts?

Would love to see the Canto in weapon cases and security breaches. I’m surprised it hasn’t been added yet. Every other blue or lower gun has a chance to appear.
