You Should Ditch your Samsung Phone

Hey Guelph, last year I had the crappiest experience with a Samsung A15 cell phone bought from Freedom Mobile at Stone Road Mall. The Samsung company keeps major overhauling their software making cell phones in a lot of cases useless. Their One UI 7,8,8.5,and 9 versions constantly forced out to unsuspecting owners in rapid succession. Samsung phones are not built to run present day Samsung software. Many users report phones that won't unlock or run out of battery in a couple hours after yet another update. My Samsung phone stopped updating all Google apps and I couldn't get a search result that wasn't five years old. I finally tossed my Samsung A15 into the bin and walked away from freedom mobile. I bought a Chinese phone from Chatr called a Nubia A76, for $135 charger included that stays charged for up to 3 days when sitting screen off, and 12 hours of continuous screen time when using. It updates automatically while I sleep without screwing everything up. If you are thinking of buying the latest garbage from Samsung at $100-200 a month, Don't. It's crap. Go to Chatr and ask for their cheapest phone. I'm a year with this phone and get 90GB of data for $40 bucks a month. Samsung=Trash!!

Service for Seniors in Kitchener

Hello Reddit people. Just want to let Kitchener seniors, still residing in your own home know, that this semi-retired male is available to do any household chores you may not want to do, or may not be able to do. The cost if you're 60 and up is a straight $15 per hour. Yard work, house work, anything you need done except carpentry, electrical or plumbing. I drive and own a vehicle, so picking up items for you, or taking them away is possible too. I know the rate is below minimum, but being able to claim my expenses, makes up the difference and gives you an important break financially. I just provide labour. You supply tools and materials. If you contact me here by message I'll give you my contact details. Cheers!

Because times are tough

Hello Reddit People of Guelph.

I am a long time resident of Guelph and have retired this year. I am bored, and therefore have been putting my name out there as a person willing to help with any household chores for the sum of $12 per hour.

You need to supply the tools and materials, I'm just offering labour.

As an independent contractor I can charge what I wish to. I've been getting many calls and have done everything from raking leaves, to walking dogs.

There is no contract, no deposit, no taxes as I'm not making enough yearly to charge taxes.

Just cash when the job is done. Not a business, but will claim all on my taxes, so just a simple note from you recording the place and time and amount is all you will need to hire me.

Facebook marketplace and Nextdoor websites have yielded my first 10 people, so I thought I would try here.

Great service for Seniors but all are welcome. I drive and own a vehicle as well.

Message me here for my contact details please.

Thanks for reading

What are you doing with the price of Gas?

I'm walking every trip 5 km and under. Leaving the car sitting in the driveway most days. Only putting in a max of $40 per month in the tank. Screw gas prices. How are you all coping?

Anybody else notice that the ads Reddit is putting in this subreddit are almost never voted up or down or commented on.

I've never bought anything I saw advertised on the internet, and I've had the internet since 1995. If it's online, I'm not interested, by the very nature of what the internet is which is 99% crap.

Will advertisers keep spending money with Reddit, when no one is opening their ads?

Have you bought anything advertised here? Are there actually people outside Guelph who eagerly open those ads and sign up for something.

What a colossal waste of space, these daily promoted stuff is.

This should be taken apart with sledge hammers now, before it's everywhere. The government has done much to get the minimum wage up, for entry level jobs. We already have too many robotic assembly lines. Now the techies want to make sure high school and university students have nothing to do during school to raise much needed funds. This is a canary in a coal mine.
