Help need help with this bronze transitional plane

From the research I’ve done Stanley didn’t make a bronze transitional plane so I’m trying to figure out what’s up with this plane magnet will not stick to it. The lever cap is also bronze. I also don’t wanna scrub all the patina off the bronze it just yet I don’t know if that would be a bad mood but the spots that I’ve scrubbed is where you see the bronze and like I said a magnet won’t stick

Is this hideous or does this look cool? Also

Also, I noticed when I flipped it upside down to put a finish on the bottom that it almost looked better than it did right side up and the only difference in flipping it upside down is the drawer is on the top instead of the bottom anyways, I can’t tell if this thing’s kinda ugly or it looks cool in your opinion or any advice would be very appreciated
