Sometimes it’s best to just let them prove your point for you 🥸
Apparently animating my own handmade puppet dancing to Shania Twain with AI was enough to unleash this.
After a while, I realized my best response was no response at all.

They handled the rest for me.
Never have I ever been able to hang this much from a tent. 😂
This time I added a DIY ball pit, bungee cords, a tree branch, and stuffed animals—and it’s still standing.
Not my best setup, but I wanted to do a quick test to see how much I could hang from it. Still impressed and so is Bonita.😂
I heard The Everything Club is the new Studio 54.
No human. That’s My shrimp tail.
Bonita: I’m going ro assume fruit flies shouldn’t be part of my diet.
I continue to clean my drains, use a vevo plug in trap. shop vac daily (I’m kind of a clean freak). However, I can’t seem to get rid of these darn fruit flies.
I know this isn’t a solution for pest control but it’s oddly satisfying when one of those annoying little flies gets stuck in my Venus fly trap lol.
On a positive note, it is quite entertaining to watch my sugar gliders chase a fruit fly around their tent.
Any other suggestions? I’m starting to think I’m just going have to wait for cold weather to arrive.
Sugar glider-proofing your house: what am I still missing?
I let Ranger loose and followed close behind while he explored the house. Along the way, I pointed out some of the things I’ve done to sugar glider-proof it, such as outlet covers, foam blocking gaps under closets and cabinets, secured trash cans and vents, keeping the shop vac put away, etc.
And yes… he eventually found his way all the way back home to the glider room.
Most of these precautions came from learning the hard way:
• I once found Ranger inside the trash can and almost took the trash out with him in it.
• One of my previous gliders ran straight up the hose of my shop vac and ended up inside the vacuum. Thank God I heard something and opened it immediately.
• Fajita disappeared into a tiny opening underneath the cabinet toe kick and somehow got up behind the cabinets. I was about five minutes away from tearing the entire cabinet apart when he finally came back out.
• When I had new flooring installed, Bonita got loose and I discovered one of the floor vents wasn’t secure. I was convinced she had gone down into the vents and actually called the fire department. Found her wrapped in my comforter later that night. She hadn’t gone into the vents at all, but that was enough for me to make sure every vent was secured after that.
Apparently my gliders are very good at finding hazards I didn’t know existed.
I’m sure my house still isn’t completely glider-proof, especially after realizing I also need to address my fireplace ASAP!
What other escape hazards am I missing? I’d especially like to hear the strange places you’ve actually found an escaped sugar glider.
Halloween brings out my creativity and we’re getting closer…
My door and shelving have seen better days instead of replacing. I just dress them up for Halloween every year.

Sometimes they just need a little encouragement
I forgot about this little trick. I used to do this with Ranger when he was in between cagemates to keep him active and entertained. As soon as they slow down, I give them a big kiss or lightly tap my fingers on the wheel and they zoom around. Weird? Yes…but with encouragement, Bonita kept running, even after her food was brought out 🥳
