This album was viewed as a disappointment upon it's release and while i find that there is a lack of cohesiveness there is some really strong moments

I love REVOLUTION PART 1 & 2. This song (along with BLINDMAN ) is as good as they ever got imo, the weird vocal layer underneath Gibby's, the alarms, ringing telephone, it just sounds amazingly psychedelic and unhinged. Fantastic

Shout out to Pinkus who is really bringing his A-game in this album. The bass is really on point throughout the album

Lonesome Bulldog solely depends on your love for a simple country song. I love the subsequent tracks that get more and more unhinged, like the guitar player is getting drunker with each parts... but including 4 parts as a running gag was certainly a choice that might overall have been detrimental to the album for some people

Hurdy Gurdy is ok but i find it doesnt add much to the original

Golden Showers is meh, they included some tuba as a callback to their first EP but this one is missing something

"Something" is a great pastiche of Jesus & Mary Chain, I think it's catchy as hell

Blindman and No, im Iron Man....another great peak of this album. Amazing stuff

and finally we have PSY, a song they used to play way back, then called "psychedelic Jam" and there's some versions live that have great peaks and nice jams but this one aint it. it feels like it never really takes off imo

So overall, a better album than I remembered , i give it a 7.5

For context, I first listened to this album on Napster files, i liked it then"Weird Revolution" came out and I remember being disappointed, "Intelligent Guy" was not as good, no "Junky Jenny" and a few other songs... I'm listening to this right now and it's pretty prsychedelic sounding again! Weird Rev. was not. I saw a lot of negative posts and i figure id toss my one cent : it's the album that should've come out
