Hello fellow Reddit singles! After being “off the market” for over 10 years I have reentered the dating world…. and good lord was I unprepared. I didn’t really see myself as a hopeless romantic until I started going on dates. From my experience, it seems a lot of people are more interested in a contractual relationship rather than just forming a deep bond and connection with the other person. It has gotten to the point where I feel crazy or like an alien lol. So I figured I’d reach out to the crazy world of Reddit to see if I could find any more “aliens” like me lol

Anyways! Here is a little about me: I’m a pretty big nerd. I enjoy playing video games, playing D&D, watching anime, Star Wars, Harry Potter, LoTR and other various nerd topics. I also love music, I play guitar and have been for most of my life. I like a lot of music but pop punk, metal and rock hold s special place in my heart.

I’m also pretty physically active. I lift, run and train Brazilian Jujitsu. I also love being outside hiking, camping, kayaking and any other outdoor adventure I can muster up.

Personally wise I’m an ambivert. That basically means I’m an extroverted introvert if that makes sense. I enjoy being social mostly with small groups but I also really like my me time. Helps me recharge and feel ready for the next day.

Lastly I’ll put it out there that I work in Law Enforcement since I know that can be a deal breaker for some.

Hello fellow introverted singles. Let’s just be honest with each other from the start and skip all the BS. I’m a divorced dad who never in a million years thought I would be sifting through Reddit at age 32 looking for a partner. I was cheated on so I’ve got some pretty gnarly trust issues. I work a demanding/dangerous job with odd hours and mandatory over time. I’m very protective of my child and who I allow around him. Hmm I think that’s about it for the red flags.

If you are still here after my uncomfortably honest introduction, congratulations! You are braver than most. 🤣

A little bit about me (stuff that isn’t a ragging red flag at least) …

If I had do described myself I’d say I’m a nerd who likes to go outside sometimes. I like most of your classic nerd topics. Video games, D&D, Star Wars, fantasy in general , medieval stuff, anime and lots of other topics. I also enjoy hiking, camping, kayaking, running, lifting and cooking. On top of that I love music and play the guitar. I enjoy most music but pop punk, rock and metal core will always be my top pics. It really wasn’t ever a phase, mom 🖤.

Personally wise I’m what a smart person (not me I used google) would call an ambivert. Basically I’m an extroverted introvert lol. Basically I can enjoy social activities but at the end of the day I like to have my me time to recharge my social battery.
