I’ve been tilling some soil in a patio planter in preparation for planting some things, and I keep finding little white grubs. They’re bad for plants since they eat up the roots, so I regularly check the soil for them.

Whenever I find one, I kinda light up inside. I live in an area with a lot of lizards, so I’ll take the grub out to the front of the property, find a lizard just chilling out, and toss the grub toward it.

I get a weird, sadistic satisfaction watching the lizard go after it and eat it.

It’s reminiscent of burning ants with a magnifying glass, which I’m not sure kids even do anymore.

Yeah, it’s a little cruel, but it’s the circle of life. Just wondering if I’m the only guy over the age of 12 who still kinda gets off on that shit.
