Fox Hollow Farm /// 949 & 950

In 1994, Herbert Baumeister’s son discovered a human skull and bone fragments in the woods. Baumeister, a successful businessman, convinced his wife that the bones were from a medical skeleton belonging to his late father, a doctor. In 1996, police murder investigations regarding several missing men intensified. Baumeister's wife became increasingly suspicious, and she allowed law enforcement to search the family's large property known as “Fox Hollow Farms.” Investigators unearthed nearly 10,000 bones and bone fragments burned and scattered throughout the woods. This week, Nic and the Captain take you through the events leading up to this horrific discovery.

Julie Popovich///947 & 948

www.TrueCrimeGarage.com

The case of Julie Popovich remains a haunting chapter in central Ohio’s criminal history. The murder shocked the region  and some believe that the case continues to raise difficult questions about justice, public records, and the rights of people who claim they were wrongfully convicted.  Julie Popovich was an aspiring young model from Reynoldsburg, Ohio. Her death in 2005 drew widespread attention, not only because of the brutality and sadness surrounding the crime, but also because of the young life that had been cut short. In the years that followed, prosecutors built a case against Adam Saleh, who was accused, tried, and ultimately convicted of Popovich’s murder and kidnapping. Using the trial transcripts we present to you a case that is still much talked about in central Ohio still to this day. From behind bars, however, Adam Saleh continues to maintain that he is innocent. Saleh turned to the Ohio Innocence Project, a group based at the University of Cincinnati College of Law that investigates claims of wrongful conviction.

Allergic Reactions Rash

First, I'm waiting to hear back from my prescriber. Just looking to see if anyone has had a similar experience.

Around two weeks from starting the pill, I noticed a rash on my chest. It was oval with a red ring on the outside and a light center. Not raised. Not itchy. Then started having hives on my stomach.

I had a similar rash when I was once on Lamictal. Exactly the same at the two week mark. So, I stopped taking the pill and contacted my prescriber and am going back and forth with them to clarify and see what my options are. I was also having bad stomach pains so Ithink the pill isn't for me overall.

I'm trying to figure out if this means I can switch brands or try Monjaro/Zapbound injections?

Any anecdotal stories about allergies with any and all semaglutide is appreciated!! I'm not sure where else to ask the question so if you have any suggestions for that too, I appreciate it!

Florida Killers //// 945

Florida Killers ////// 945

Part 1 of 1

www.TrueCrimeGarage.com

Some of the most haunting serial killer cases in Florida have never been solved. Since the 1970s, investigators have documented clusters of murders across the state with troubling similarities: the same victim profiles, the same methods, and the same remote roadsides and canals. In several cases, detectives suspected a serial offender. The Florida Sheriffs Association is highlighting unresolved serial killer cold cases by utilizing modern forensic tools like DNA analysis and genetic genealogy. The Cold Case Advisory Commission meets quarterly to review stubborn homicide files with multi-agency experts. This week we take a look at some Florida serial killer cases that have remained open for decades.

Where were you?

This week in Off the Record Nic and Captain talked about how they remembered where they were when they watched the bronco chase and verdict of OJ. It got me thinking.

How many of you remember where you were during big True Crime moments? Why do you think they've stuck in your head?

Doesn't have to be OJ related, I know some of you weren't born yet!! It can be any case you have a strong memory of.

Arrests were made last week of four people arrested and charged with 16 counts of child endangerment. The four people arrestested are the children's parents and the paternal grandparents.

The children were found in conditions that officals called, "disgusting" and "deplorable". All 16 were living in a 12 by 12 foot room that contained human feces. The ages are from 18 months to 18 years old. Some of the children appear to not be able to communicate. They are safe in the custody of Ohio Family Services, though the youngest two are in the hospital.

The ages of the children are 18 years to 18 months. Including several sets of twins. According to the New York Post, Elizabeth Siders gave birth to a set of conjoined twins in Nov of 2022 that died the same day. None of the children were enrolled in school.
