UT professor fired over Charlie Kirk comments agrees to tentative $1.9M settlement in ongoing lawsuit with UT
We keep seeing these folks fired for their speech about Kirk winning lawsuits and settlements.
The wild thing about this case was they didn't even fire her until AFTER other highly publicized suits had already been won. Yet ignorant folks were proclaiming she wouldn't get a penny and would be destitute.
Outfit for Wedding Officiant at Beach Ceremony
I posted a wedding outfit recently for an upcoming ceremony I will be officiating and the negative reaction here was pretty near universal. "Too much white!" "You will overshadow the Bride!" Even when I explained there are 2 brides, there is no dress code for this beach wedding, and neither Bride will be wearing white the reactions were pretty violent, mostly about the tag used. 🤷♂️
Despite the couple loving the original floral jumpsuit, I decided to "follow the herd" and find something else. Wouldn't want anyone judging me that harshly in real life! J/k I'm an adult. Hypothetical judgmental people don't factor into my decisions. I changed it for other reasons.
Thanks for all the feedback though to the folks who weren't outright hateful! Now I have 2 lovely outfits in the closest perfect for such beachy nuptials!
Third lawsuit filed alleging Johnson City cops covered for serial rapist • Tennessee Lookout
I know the victim, a brave and tenacious woman!
This isn't a one-off. Systemic abuse of women and children while "god fearing Christian"communities turn a blind eye like this is the norm in Appalachia and likely other parts of the US. I've experienced it myself.
Green line sudden stop
I was on the Green Line this afternoon headed from Copley to Park Street and seconds after the train departed, it lurched to a stop so sudden that it sent me across 2 seats and into the lap of a guy a few seats away. It also threw a woman who was across from me.
I'm disabled and am just so glad I managed to get a seat this leg of my journey, but I'm horrified at how bad it may have been if I couldn't. There was no announcement or anything. We sat for some time, then eventually made it on our way.

This administration has zero regard for the First Amendment, including the fundamental right of freedom of the press, and they have demonstrated so time and time again.
