Kept a scammers hopes up for a few hours

This scammer acted like he was my friend from high school. I knew he was a scammer the second he didn't want to call, but I kept him occupied for a few hours I would give him hope and then ghost him for like 45 minutes and repeated a few times.

Is $500 worth it?

I'm looking to buy a bike. The owner wants $500. It has 27,000 miles or so. Hasn't been ridden in a few years because the owner has bad knees and won't ride anymore, but he keeps the fuel treated. The only issue he says it has is that the front brakes drag a little. I currently don't have a car and my only transportation is a Honda Ruckus. I am looking for something bigger, cheap, yet reliable.

Update!!! I saw it run with the owner. It started up quickly with the choke on. We let it warm up and then gave it the beans. It had solid and consistent power throughout the rev range. The trash bag on the seat was just protection from the sun. The seat is in good, not great condition: 2 small cracks smaller than your index fingernail. On the downside, there is an electrical issue where a relay needs to be touched with a "tester light" occasionally if the bike won't start. The front brakes do mildly drag. Tires are in good condition. There is a tiny bit of surface rust on the swingarm, no rust in the fuel tank. The worst rust on it is right at the exhaust headers, but it's still pretty surface level.

When placed on the kickstand, not the center stand, for a few hours the bike won't start. I believe it's a petcock or float needle problem.

Can you take the Pennsylvania Motorcycle Skills Test on 49cc scooter?

Hello! I'm trying to get my class M license in PA. I've got my permit and just need to take the test at a DMV. I have a 49cc Honda Ruckus, which you don't NEED a license for, but I'm looking to upgrade to a bigger bike. One of my friends asked a DMV worker for me, and he said yes, but AI consistently says no. Does anyone have any real life experience with this?

Finally Opened Up To Emotionally Unavailable Mom. Another Let Down.

I was talking to my mom on the phone today and we got into a pretty deep discussion about her marriage problems, etc. Then she did something that she never does: ask me how I am. Not in the casual sense, but in the "How are you really?" sense. Against my better judgement, I decided to open up to her about how I've been having a really hard year with my cPTSD, etc. I never told her that I struggle mentally until now, and she was talking about how my sister opened up to her about it. Me and my sister are extremely close and we talk very deeply often. Our family was SUPER toxic. Our adopted father was emotionally abusive and occasionally physically. Our mother was emotionally unavailable. I started to tell her and then she just interrupted and started lecturing me about how other people have it much worse and how I just need to pray harder and "It's because of that phone." Then when her rant was done she started crying and then hung up. Honestly, I'm kind of happy this happened so I have something concrete to tell my therapist when I start soon, since I can't remember much of my childhood, but it makes me so angry that she shows so little care for our psychological well-being. I'm posting this mostly just to put it out there and get it off my chest, but also as a journal for me to look back on once I heal more. Sorry for the rant.
