Last Friday, I received an email from the company that I applied, for some information (such as salary expectations) to send it to hiring manager. I replied on the same day.

It’s been a week but I didn’t not receive any reply. I understand that it’s a week of mid autumn and national day holiday, so it could be slow, or people could be on extended holiday.

I would like to know whether no reply was due to holiday or it’s a quiet way to say they picked someone else.

I realized my Flybuys points was sitting there and not getting transferred to Velocity after hitting more than 3000 points since yesterday. New flybuys points came in just now, and still there.

I was on auto transferring for many years, so I assume there is some kinda system error on either side? Because I tried the manual transfer as well just now, it doesn’t work.

I am working in financial markets front office (sales) in Australia.

I am a Korean citizen, looking to move to Singapore.

I heard from some recruiters that firms in Singapore are now less open to sponsor SG visa.

On the other hand, my friends in SG financial industry told me otherwise.

So I am kinda confused, as I am planning to move to Singapore by the end of this year or early next year.

Also, is there anything that I shouldn't miss out on my end to prepare? Such as qualifications that are compulsory to work in SG financial sector.
