Melbourne to Singapore, is it a good idea to spend 98000 miles on this?

The normal upgrade was not available when I asked (I asked once a week since March).

It’s good that now we can convert amex points to accor. However I feel like conversion rate not as good as other hotel chains…

I am working in financial markets front office (sales) in Australia.

I am a Korean citizen, looking to move to Singapore.

I heard from some recruiters that firms in Singapore are now less open to sponsor SG visa.

On the other hand, my friends in SG financial industry told me otherwise.

So I am kinda confused, as I am planning to move to Singapore by the end of this year or early next year.

Also, is there anything that I shouldn't miss out on my end to prepare? Such as qualifications that are compulsory to work in SG financial sector.
