Anyone know of any gigs or jobs hiring, and places to get some food/meals?

I’m currently living out of my car & can’t find any work, I’ve applied for all the major delivery apps (still waiting on approval), I’ve registered to multiple employment agencies and just never get calls and when I call them it’s always “We’ve added you to the list”, applied for Ontario Works (Welfare) no response yet, at this point I don’t even know what to do, if anyone of you been in similar situations or have any leads for employment it would be helpful, and also places that wouldn’t mind giving out food or locations like churches and temples that might give out a meal would also help, thank you for any suggestions.

Safe places to park overnight?

I’m looking for suggestions on safe places to park overnight in Hamilton where I won’t be bothered. Preferably somewhere quiet and relatively safe.

Ontario Emergency Assistance?

It’s been almost 2 weeks, I’ve not heard back after filling out the application for Ontario Emergency Assistance, I’m living out of my car and don’t have access to funds for basic necessities and food. How long will it before a caseworker or someone contacts me?

I’m currently homeless living out of my car, I’m 22, couldn’t find employment after getting let go from my old job, eventually ran out of funds and had gotten evicted. How did you manage and make ends meet when you were homeless?

I’ve applied 9 days ago counting only business day, I’d received an email after my application that I’d hear from a worker in 4 days, roughly how long did you have to wait?

Hi, I’m honestly in a really tough spot and trying everything I can. I’m looking for any kind of job around Ottawa, even short term or cash work, just something to get me through right now. I’ve already applied to Ontario Works but it’s been over a week and I haven’t heard anything back yet.

I’ve been applying to delivery apps and other jobs but I’m still waiting on approvals. Right now I’m living out of my car, so I’m just trying to find anything I can as soon as possible. I can get around if needed, just not too far since I’m low on gas.

If anyone knows of places hiring, even small gigs, or any resources for food, groceries, or gas vouchers, I would really appreciate it. Thank you so much.

I applied for Ontario Emergency Assistance last Monday. I received an email saying there would be about a 4-day wait before a worker contacted me, but it has now been 8 days with no update.

The email says not to reapply, and when I call the office, they just tell me to wait until a worker reaches out. I have been actively looking for work and handing out resumes, but I currently have no funds, which is making things really difficult.

I have heard that some people are receiving their assistance tomorrow, but I have not even been able to speak to a worker yet. Has anyone else experienced this delay, or know how long it usually takes?

I literally don’t get it. You sign up to all these agencies, sit around waiting forever just to maybe get one call, finally start working and then a few days later it’s over like nothing. You can show up on time, do everything right, not miss a day and still get dropped before you even get a real chance. It just feels so pointless and exhausting.
