Hi everyone,

I have an idea for a product I want to prototype and possibly manufacture myself on a small scale. I'm not opposed to paying a company to make a mold for me, but I would like to do the actual injection and manufacture myself in my facility. So here's my questions:

I don't know anything about plastics/materials, molding techniques, etc, what are some resources you might recommend I can read or consult to help me learn about all of this and get me on the right track?

I don't know for sure yet, but it's looking like my product is best made from liquid silicone rubber, so what is the ideal mold material choice for LSR?

Is this something where I could buy a used injection mold machine and run it myself to produce small batch runs?

Any advice or insight is appreciated.
