Honeys small bed

Honeys small bed

She has many beds all over the house that are full size. And she’s allowed on all couches and human beds as well. But sometimes , she likes to make herself super smol and sleep in her first bed from When we got her. She came to us at a year and a half / full grown but she only weighed 24 pounds , and she’s about double that now , so you can only imagine how small she was. So this bed used to fit her perfectly . But, from time to time , we’ll see her sleeping in it still .

It’s in the second front room , the room Where my dad likes to watch tv . There’s a couch in there that she cuddles up with him on but for some reason , she likes to choose the little bed from time to time and it’s so precious :)

The fisherman by John Langan , need help with a part I didn’t understand

May be some spoilers …

I am about 75 percent finished reading this and it is brutal at times. Some Parts I’m enjoying the story and flying through it , but other parts there is just so much description that it becomes unbearable . The paragraphs are super long and I don’t do the Best with massive descriptions

I was really Enjoying the story of the two men, Abe and Dan. But once I got to the tale from the old man in the diner , it’s kind of been losing me. I have a few chapters left of the diner story , and I have to admit at a few times I almost decided to DNF. But it’s the only book I had at work with me so I continued through it .

I know it has some pet semetary vibes and that is my favorite movie /book of all times . I even have Sometimes dead is better tattooed across my arm and I’m about to add to it tomorrow (a cross with pet semetary written on it ).

I went to read the reviews on Amazon to give me a push , and most were really positive. There were a few 1-2 star reviews , but not many. And the lower reviews agreed with how o was feeling.

The part that lost me the most was when Rainer and his crew went to the mansion to “battle “ the Guest /Fisherman. The scene after the home turned into an ocean /forest completely lost me. Why did they have to kill the one guy ? (I forget his name , begins with an A). I know Jacob ended up killing his friend but there was so much description I lost interest in the “battle “ and kind of skimmed most of it/ words weren’t registering. I am on the final chapter of the old man’s tale from the diner and I decided to finish it through. But I am lost as to why Jacob had to kill the friend , so if someone could please explain to me that be helpful.

I have like 200 physical books to get to that I’m Excited about so I want to finish this book today . I am kind of just hate reading it now to finish. Although , I do admit there are parts that hook me and flow nicely . There are just some parts that have too much description.

One review said that they had to of been in the diner for 12 hours listening to the old man’s story of the creek. So if someone could just clear about that one death scene of Rainer and Jacob’s friend dying , that would be lovely ! Thank you !

And no hate to the author or book , the writing style was just not for me. I know people enjoy this book and this type of writing , but it’s just not something that resonates with me . And I’ve been reading horror and thrillers for 20 years , I’ve read hundreds of,prob even thousands of books . And when I was a kid , I also did a lot of horror reading as well .

Will he ever get his life together

I don’t want to say too much about my husband but will he ever get it right in life ? We are going to get a divorce and have been living separately since Valentine’s Day . I still love him but I don’t ever see him changing . What do you see with him ?

What to Read Next ? The fisherman or burial tide?

Hello , so I have like over 200 books in my physical TBR . Mainly horror and thriller. I have composed two piles of books . I will either read the top/next book in either pile , depending on my mood when it’s time To pick. I put the books in piles in a good order. For example , super long , super short. Horror , then thriller . Etc. I am currently reading a shorter book , Hide, by Kiersten White . The book I finished before that was The Deep by Nick Cutter (a longer book ).

My next two choices after Hide is either The Fisherman by John Langan or Burial Tide by Neil Sharpson . Both books are roughly the same length and both horror. I am excited to read both , and will eventually this next coming month .

But which of the two would you reccomended I pick up first ? When I pick from my two piles , I can pick from pile 2 five times in a row if I want , I don’t have to rotate. And when I get new books I can put them up higher in the piles or even next if I want to . I also have a box in the other room of books that haven’t made it to the piles yet but I slowly add more to the two main piles as I read more.

I know it’s a goofy system lol . Does anyone else do stuff like this ? I have seen people do the wheel or a tbr jar but I’d never spend the time writing or typing each book out. I also love how people wrap the books and pick numbers from a jar , but it’s hard for me to wrap a couple Xmas gifts , so I’d NEVER do that.

Soooo which book do you recommend I crack into next ? Just asking for fun ..

Energy of a house where two friends used to live

Hello this is a long shot. I had two friends who lived here their whole lives. Pic 6 is Chris , my best friend who passed away about 6 years ago . They were roughly 30 . Pic 6 is their niece Claudia , who passed away at 21 around the name time. Chris from an overdose and Claudia from a tragic car accident. Chris would always return to this home even when they were kicked out after they grew up . (I use they because Chris was transitioning during the last year of their life and this was when I lost contact so I am not sure what pronouns they would have wanted to use. I always knew them as he as I was never told otherwise but I want to be respectful ). Claudia lived in the basement there (don’t have pics of that room from the real estate listing ). She was rumored to be into some dark things and Chris was into dark things during their addiction . Claudia also suffered from addiction.
My question is , do you feel anything about this house ? I walk past it almost every other day . I see the new residents outside almost all the time but am too scared to ask if they feel anything because they look mean and a little shady. I looked into the living room the other night walking by quickly and it looked very eerie and I got a weird feeling. These pics were taken after both had passed. Neither died in the house . However , a few people did die in the house from overdoses. (Random people that I will not name because it’s not my business to post ). Anyways , I always wanted to know if they went back or if there is a dark energy there. I’m worried about them being possibly trapped . One day I may have the courage to talk to the new people but I don’t want to sound insane . The house is is rental now and I been walking by a few years and there’s always someone new outside but there is always like 10 cars in the driveway and it appears to be another drug house situation so I don’t want to approach .

I am 12 years clean from heroin and going on 3 from alcohol so I don’t want to get involved at all with the new people but I would like to ask.

I kinda grew up in this house. Began going when I was 13 and stopped going when I was 24ish. I have a lot of memories in that house and lived there for a little bit too before the deaths and never felt anything off about the house / seen anything prior to any of this .

Long shot , wish I had better pics but I didn’t want to take pics inside their living room when I walk by and be creepy .

Bentley Little

So I was looking for deals on Amazon for horror Books and saw a bunch of Bentley Little books for a fair price so I grabbed a few . The descriptions of most the books sound really good . I have never heard anyone talking about them though … (doesn’t mean they aren’t good , as a lot of thriller authors I loved in the 2000s are hardly ever mentioned these days and are some of the best ones ). I was just wondering if anyone read any and what are some of your favorite titles ? I purchased The Academy and The Haunted . But am tempted to purchase some more as a lot of them sound really good !

The Return by Rachel Harrison

MAY have some small spoilers …

So this was my first read by Rachel Harrison that I was pretty excited about . It sounded spooky and good . And ALOT of people were ranting and raving over her . I understand this was her first book she wrote .

The first half was almost a DNF for me . I don’t like long descriptions of rooms and places . I can picture the location much better with a smaller description most of the time.

The characters were also very unlikable And I didn’t understand why any of them continued to even be friends . They never talked about anything personal , and if it were brought up they would all act shocked like “you don’t bring that type of thing up !” And it wasn’t even super deep or dark things , just simple things like the main girl having an affair with a college teacher . Nothing super super crazy .

Also , Mae and Molly were awful people and the complete opposite of Elise . Elise didn’t even seem To like them and they didn’t seem To like her either . Like they roomed together in college and almost forced the friendship to continue into adulthood , even though they considered themselves “4 best friends “.

The second half of the book picked up a little more and I began to somewhat enjoy it and it had its creepy factor about it . However , idk how I feel about the ending where it’s explained what happened to Julie. MAY BE A BIG SPOILER HERE , so IF YOU HAVENT READ YET, STOP READING THIS !!

Do you guys think Julie is completely dead and it took her form/ memories or do you think SOME of Julie was still left in there ? Just a little Bit of her ? Also , why do you think they “allowed her” to go back home . Or was it part of their plan to recruit more people ? Why were some killed but she wanted to bring Elise with to join ?

Not sure if posted before , but 130 cal bagel with 16g protein

They aren’t very bagel-y but they’re FIRE ! and you get a lot for your calories. Hard to find , usually Jewel has them. You can also pair with the eggland omlettes and make a sandwich that’s 31g protein for a good breakfast or light lunch ! Filling and yummy

Crackers and cheese 100cals

So good . And 5 crackers is more than enough for a snack, decent size and just enough cheese for them all :)

Let the Right One In

So I’m coming off reading 2 back to back 4-5 star horror books and I pick this one up mostly because in my book journal I got for Christmas it has a section for “reading challenges “ and they all are things I don’t want to do , but one said to read a book that was turned into a movie and then watch the movie . I had this book as well as The Ritual to do that with , but since I already seen the ritual movie I wanted to read a book that I didn’t see the movie for .

The reviews on this book and movie were VERY good , but I’m struggling a bit with it. I almost put it down the first 50 pages because it had so many characters , and since the names are unusual names to what I’m used to seeing , it was a bit confusing to get them all straight. I’m now half way done , and it’s picking up a bit , but I’m just not seeing the pull to it and it’s not scary at all .

My question is, does it get better ? I just watched the previews for both versions of the film to pump myself up a bit more and get more atmosphere on the book . And talked to my brother who saw the movie (American version ) and said it was REALLY good . And my brother watches a lot of horror , he does the 30 in 30 days every October and he’s always watching all types of horror , so his opinion is valued .

My question is also , have you read this ? And what were your thoughts ? No spoilers please , as I do plan to finish , it’s just taking me a little longer than usual . Just got done reading “Suffer the Children “ which I really enjoyed and my first book by Ronald Malfi , Bone White , which I blew through because it was really good . So coming to this right after , it seems kind of slow .

Oh , I forgot , I also read Talia before this but I read that in a day and didn’t care for it too much . I like to throw some extreme horror into the mix to pallet cleanse between longer books . Let me know your thoughts !

Does anyone have a staffy that makes faces like they’re hostages ? (Comment from my friend lol)

I swear honey likes to play up the theatrics for attention ! This is just her chilling with her toys , absolutely nothing is wrong and she’s been getting attention non stop all day from 4 adults . But she likes to make these miserable faces and I find it hilarious because she’s spoiled rotten !
