
Problems with internet on EERO PRO 7 network
I have 1.3gig internet with DOCSIS modem. This is connected to EERO pro7 (i have 2 of them). My problem is that when kids turn up their activities (streaming, xbox, chrome/windows gaming) my work laptop is struggling during team calls (people are complaining about my call quality). I have turned on SQM on my eero and client steering but still i am having this problem.
Some of the ideas (assuming this is WiFi problem)
- two eero are not enough for my house chocking the network -> shall i add 1 more eero? my work laptop is typically connected at 6ghz to basement eero (on the left) which is wired to modem. Kids are typically on the loft eero (on the right) but not always.
- get Ubiquiti Cloud Gateway Ultra (or max) between modem and eero to manage quality of service correctly and always prioritize my work laptop
- get rid of eero and upgrade to something else (but don't see anyting with proper quality of service management). I had ORBI 750 before and didn't have this problem. changed internet provided and got EERO.
Running LAN directly to the Modem (or EERO which is wired to modem) is not really feasible. Thanks for advice.
