Feline atopic dermatitis
My siamese (F 7 years old) has been having excema/atopic dermatitis flare ups for the past several years, we have seen multiple vets and done a variety of treatments including steroid injections, atopica, chlorhexine wipes, and benzyl peroxide shampoo. She also only eats out of ceramic bowls, no plastic/foam. The wipes and shampoo tend to cause more irritation and licking due to them being on open wounds. This current flare up is her worst yet and while she is on atopica which typically helps we have not seen improvement this time. Her face has a large patch of hairloss and she has red, irritated, and bleeding skin on her face, chin, and genitals. We have looked into dermatology specialists however there are no openings until july. What are the best options for treating this?
