[commercial] I built a Foundry 5e sheet with a spatial inventory and tokens that react to combat

Hey everyone! I'm Gabú from Wand & Widgets, and I just released the first beta of W&W Sheet.

I wanted the character's identity to carry through from the sheet to the map. The 12 classes get distinct colors, crests, and portrait frames, and multiclass characters combine those identities.

Two parts I'm especially happy to share here:

  • A spatial inventory inside the sheet. Equipment has body slots, containers have their own grids, and you can rotate items while dragging them. The GM can keep the layout visual or enforce the available space. Weight still follows the game system.
  • Tokens that react to actual game events. Marionette adds procedural motion to existing token images. For custom walking, attack, hurt, or fallen animations, you can supply your own images or videos. One saved set can be reused across a group of monsters.

The Turn tab also keeps actions, bonus actions, reactions, movement, and Extra Attack together. There are optional biography prompts for the character behind all those numbers.

Requires Foundry V14 and dnd5e 6.0+. This is a paid beta through Patreon, installed manually from a ZIP. It is a Foundry module, so you'll need Foundry to use it.

The attached teaser shows it running. The Ray of Frost effect is JB2A via Automated Animations and Sequencer. Full production credits are in the Patreon post.

Full feature demos and beta access on Patreon. Free membership is also available if you'd just like to follow development.

I'd love to hear from people who use spatial inventories: do you prefer them as a visual aid, or as an actual limit on what a character can carry?

[System Agnostic] You asked for modern handouts. Here's Heavy Lore 2.0: phones, laptops, terminals and more

Hey everyone! Gabriel from Wand & Widgets here.

When I first shared Heavy Lore, it was all about books, scrolls, and parchment. Quite a few of you asked for something for your modern games, and this update grew out of those requests. I'm really happy to finally share it with you.

There are phones, laptops, old terminals, tablets, and a collection of modern notebooks. A phone can hold saved conversations and photographs. A laptop can tell a story through emails and little websites you write for the investigation. A notebook can hold someone's handwritten notes and the clue your players have been looking for.

I've put a lot of care into the small details: the way things open, the sounds they make, the wear on a device, even a cracked phone screen. You can change a lot of the appearance and content to make these objects belong in your setting. There are new folded letters on the classic side too, with paper, ink, and optional wax seals.

That part of GMing is very close to my heart: mood, atmosphere, and the things players discover about the world. I hope you'll find something here for your own table.

The video attached is a short look at the update. I've also posted a full video on YouTube and a more detailed post on Patreon, linked below.

Heavy Lore is a paid module, but you're very welcome to join the Patreon as a free member and follow along. I also share discounts to help make the modules more accessible, especially for my fellow Brazilians. I'm Brazilian myself, so that matters to me.

Thanks to everyone who asked for these, shared ideas, and reported bugs. It's helped shape this update.

HEAVY LORE 1.0 [SYSTEM AGNOSTIC]

Hi everyone, I'm Gabú. English is not my first language so please bear with me.

I've been running tabletop games for almost 30 years and there's one thing that has bugged me in every VTT I ever used: I would spend hours writing a diary or a prophecy or a creepy letter, and my players would receive it as a journal entry. A wall of text with a scrollbar. Nobody at my table ever leaned in for a scrollbar.

So I built Heavy Lore. The idea is that lore should be an object, not a text file. You bind a book in a little workshop screen, choosing the leather, the dye, the foil lettering, a sigil for the cover, corner plates, that kind of thing. Then you write on the actual page, and you can age it. Coffee rings, blood, fingerprints, mold. You can burn holes in it, and the holes go through the sheet, so you see the next page through them. I am unreasonably proud of that detail ahhahaah

When you hand it to a player they get the real thing in 3D, fullscreen, with the table dimmed behind it. They open the cover, drag the page corners to turn them, the paper bends and follows their hand. There are also notebooks and scrolls. The scrolls can be wax sealed, and when a player opens one the seal actually cracks. The first time my group saw that, the table went quiet for a second, and that little second is basically why I made this whole thing.

My favourite feature is: you can hand a player a blank journal they are allowed to write in. My players can keep field notes in character now. I didn't expect that to change my campaign as much as it did.

A note on the art, since I know it matters here: there is no AI art and no stock assets in this. All of it, the paper, the leather, the marbled endpapers, the wax, even the page turning sounds, is generated procedurally by code. Which also means a book is deterministic, page 14 of a given book looks exactly the same every time, for every player, forever.

Full disclosure: it's a paid module, available through our Patreon (the $7 tier) on the official Foundry premium catalog. I know paid modules aren't everyone's thing and that's completely fair. I made a video showing everything so you can decide if it's for you without spending anything: https://youtu.be/kIMZs-nDuEw

It works on Foundry v13 and v14, system agnostic, English and Portuguese.

Happy to answer anything in the comments, and if you think something essential is missing, tell me, the roadmap is genuinely shaped by feedback. Thanks for reading this far.

After 10 years of running the exact same Exalted campaign, I finally lost my mind and made a full Anime Opening for my players.

Hey fellow Solars

I need to make a confession. I’ve been running the absolute same Exalted 3e campaign for over a decade now. We've reached that critical level of nerd obsession where we go out for beers and spend five hours straight debating the geopolitical impact of our characters' in Creation.

So, naturally, I decided to take the next logical step into madness: I spent my week crafting a full Anime Opening and a chill, emotional Ending sequence for our current season, set right in the middle of Great Forks.

My players absolutely lost their minds when they saw it, so I figured I’d share it with the rest of the world. Hopefully, the Loom of Fate doesn't delete this post.

Let me know if this captures the pure, over-the-top cinematic chaos that lives rent-free in every Exalted GM's head!

[Free Module] I just released Your Flavor 4.0, a full UI and chat customization studio for Foundry [System Agnostic]

Hey everyone, Wand & Widgets here.

I just released Your Flavor 4.0, and it is 100% free.

This module started as a very simple idea: I wanted a way to make chat messages in Foundry feel more personal. I wanted players to have messages that looked like their characters, their campaigns, their moods, their worlds.

Then it kept growing.

At some point, it stopped being just a chat styling module and became something much bigger: a visual customization studio for Foundry VTT.

With Your Flavor 4.0, you can customize a lot of the visible Foundry experience: chat messages, rolls, cards, sidebar, token controls, icons, macro bar, player list, scene navigation, pause overlay, windows, and more.

It is a big module, and I know it may look a little intimidating at first, but the idea is simple: open it, preview things live, click around, change colors, try presets, move pieces, reset anything you dislike, and stop when your table finally feels right.

A few things it can do:

- Give each player their own chat style

- Let the GM control whether players can customize freely

- Style chat messages, rolls, item cards, and supported system cards

- Customize Foundry UI areas like the sidebar, hotbar, scene controls, player list, windows, and pause screen

- Recolor icon groups and override individual icons

- Hide or swap selected icons with Font Awesome alternatives

- Preview changes live before saving

- Export and import complete visual profiles

- Share looks with other people

- Use diagnostics to see what is being targeted

- Return to the stock Foundry look with factory reset tools

- Run on Foundry VTT v13 and v14

The sharing part is something I am especially excited about. If you make something beautiful, strange, dramatic, cozy, cursed, clean, maximalist, minimalist, or just very specific to your campaign, please share it. I would genuinely love to see what people build with it.

I also made a full video showing the module from start to finish, customizing my own Foundry setup for the Exalted 3rd Edition game I run for my friends. You can find it on the Wand & Widgets YouTube channel if you want to see the workflow before installing.

Content Name: Your Flavor 4.0

Content Type: Module

System: System-agnostic

Foundry Versions: v13 and v14

Hey everyone, Wand & Widgets here!

I'm super excited to announce that we just launched the biggest update to date for our audio management module: Narrator Jukebox!

When I first built this module, my goal was simple: create something that is comprehensive, gorgeous to look at, and delivers an incredible, effortless experience for the GM. It’s packed with features, but super intuitive:

  • Import anywhere: Easily import tracks from your local files or directly from YouTube.
  • Customization: Add tags and custom artwork to your tracks.
  • Ambience Mixer: You can play and mix up to 8 different ambiences at the exact same time.
  • Soundboard: Trigger precise sound effects at the perfect dramatic moment.
  • Robust Queue: A highly reliable track queue system.
  • Live Sync Bar: A connection bar that lets you check AND FIX sync issues if your players are playing on potato PCs and losing audio sync with you.
  • Organization: Full support for Moodboards and Playlists.

It is incredibly complete, but not intimidating at all. Honestly, if you know how to use Spotify, you will feel right at home here - all entirely inside Foundry VTT!

Another huge milestone I have to share: we are finally officially integrated into Foundry's Premium modules system! This means downloading and updating your Wand & Widgets modules has never been easier, you can do it all natively by just searching for Narrator's Jukebox.

Thank you all so much for the ongoing support! For those interested, I put together a full showcase video showing off this new update on the Wand & Widgets YouTube channel. I tried to make it dynamic and fun to watch.

Also, don't hesitate to join our community! We all help each other out, I actively listen to feature requests from members, and we share a ton of resources. It’s a great group of people dedicated to helping GMs and players alike.

Much love. <3
