[PC] [Mods] This is "Scav Isle", a place that my sole survivor (a collector of all things wasteland) calls home. He takes his barge in to the mainland to grab more stuff for his junk island.

Cfb on PC possibilities

Ok so this is all theoretical/hypothetical and out of curiosity , I need to preface with that:

Now that the game is on PC . Could someone with the right motivation and skills break any drm and embedded software that requires the game to launch through EA app? Furthermore could they figure out a way to data mine the whole thing and run it completely offline with, say... A mod to bypass all the stuff they stuck behind pay walls? Or is that impossible with how EA has used their software?

CFB on PC. Patching... possibilities

If you are like me you have seen a solid CFB game come out in July the last 2 years. You have also noticed that after a loud minority of players complain about the gameplay, EA distributes a patch that strips out a lot of the mechanics and makes the game play noticeably worse. This fall patch has really ruined the gameplay (maybe I'm just imagining things but I've heard others on here corroborate what I'm saying).

My question, to someone who knows more about DRM, PC, Modding... when we get CFB27 on pc next month, will there be a way to preserve a pre patch version and interrupt any patches/updates they throw out? I know on my fallout 4 game, I keep it from updating to not break all my mods. I also know that bethesda is pretty generous when it comes to what they allow modders to work with so EA might be a different animal.

Cpu basically cheating and how to find the right difficulty/sliders

So with 25 and 26 I thought the game played pretty great out of the gate. I put it on varsity then all American and the CPU was tough to beat. They played fair though and the game was fun.

Then EA, in back to back years, threw out a patch that brought back NFL blitz levels of cpu "cheating" and every game has me angry or bored.

I seemingly need a difficulty between all American and varsity. On varsity I best most teams like 77 to 7. On all American fcs easy is putting 28 on me. And it's not like I'm not playing well... They just get away with non stop cheese. My defenders just sit behind their receivers and allow them to catch the ball. On the off chance I'm controlling the cb where the ball gets thrown, they catch it through massive contact or my guy jumps and the ball goes through my arms or he doesn't swat it. On run plays they break 6 tackles. There's always always always a soft spot in my zone coverage and most of my man cov leaves someone wide open. The blockers on my offense let guys through every play. I sack the qb but he breaks the tackle and my other 2 defenders just kind of bump into him while he gets the ball off sideways , no int grounding called .. just ridiculous..

I could go on and on but this is not the same game as at release and I was hoping someone knew some good settings for a casual like me where it presents a fair challenge .

▲ 2 r/PleX

I'm a relative newbie . Maybe one of you can help me find my bottleneck.

Hey there I'll try to keep this short.

I run my Plex off of a hardwired 1u server. All media is stored locally on there.

I have mostly 2 to 10 GB "1080p" movies and shows on it. I watch them locally and remotely without much issue.

I watch them on my also hardwired PC. On my iPad and Samsung TV and fire stick 4k over WiFi.

I have about 30 movies that are either high quality remuxed 1080p or decent 4k copies. In the 30 to 120 GB range in size.

I cannot watch them locally or remote. It stutters and just won't work. I thought it was Plex but I put kodi on a fire stick and it stuttered there too.

I can watch them on the hardwired PC .

So I know I'll be told to figure out what kind of speed I'm getting to my WiFi devices.. how do I do that (sorry if this is easily googleable I was unable to find anything )

Additionally... How do I get this working I have a nice living room tv I'd like to play 4k content on without loading it onto my laptop and using that

Thank you in advance.

Sewer (outbound) water line repair nightmare

Sorry if this is the wrong place. I moved into a house in 2023, had an inspector check it out. All clear apparently. Fast forward to this year and my foundation cracked. We had it repaired, not one cent was covered by insurance (thanks) and then had a hydrostatic test done and a leak was found under my garage . They did more tests to locate it more precisely but now they've sent an estimate for work and it will be $11,000 roughly.

So foundation repair was an uncovered 9k and this will be an uncovered 11k. How on earth can insurance not cover or assist with this one bit? In Texas apparently inspectors aren't required to check this so he's off the hook. Do I have any options ? I saw that maybe my utility company offers a "service line warranty" but hard to say if it's legal for me to purchase that with an ongoing issue.
