Family friends

My elderly mom has dementia and her birthday is today. She doesn't know about my daughter but she's mostly deaf and hasn't really picked up on the (moderate) physical changes my daughter has made. We are bringing a birthday cake to her facility today, and I just learned that 2 old family friends will be joining us. I just messaged them about my daughter so she doesn't have to be dead-named, and I have no idea how they will respond. They have always been kind, and I hope that continues. Wish us luck!

Pepper spray training?

Does anyone know where one could go to get trained (in person) in using pepper spray? Not really looking for certification, just want to learn how to use it appropriately. We are in a near West suburb, so that would be best, but we're willing to drive further if necessary. Chicago locations may also work.

I have googled and found great-sounding trainings but in other states. It needs to be in-person for reasons.

Advice for a couple in different countries?

So we had a plan to move our family from the US to the EU, but because of a few recent changes, now only my husband is going. I am hoping to join him at some point, with at least one of our two young adult kids, but I don't know when that would happen.

Leaving aside the emotional component of us living in different countries, what are some practical/logistical things we should be aware of? We are in the process of creating a trust, so I don't need advice on that, and it occurred to me yesterday that I will need to name a new emergency contact for my medical system. I'm sure there are other things that we haven't thought of. For example, our car is in his name, not mine (we're both on the insurance policy). Does that matter? He leaves in a month and I don't feel prepared at all. 😩
