The expectation is that the MBP Ultra is coming with OLED and a touchscreen. The OLED I understand, but why would Apple put a touchscreen in a MacBook, and even more, who is really waiting for that?
I would not see a real use case for it. I mean, it would be different if you can detach the screen and use it as an ipad (so when you detach the screen macOS switcht to like a IpadOS), but as a MacBook? The angle is terrible to touch the screen, the screen gets full of fingerprints, and MacOS is not a touchscreen OS.

So, why is it coming? And why do you want it?

I really want a new MacBook and I really think the 14” MacBook Pro M5 (I’m going for 24gb/1tb) is the perfect machine. I went to the store to see the difference between the 16” and 14”. I was immediately in love at the 14” space black MBP. Incredible.

So all the doubts are gone. The only thing that’s holding me is…. The MacBook Pro M6 is so close, that I don’t want to feel sorry for not waiting another month. I don’t care about changes to the appearance or a touchscreen; but the M6….

Ik ben momenteel fulltime in loondienst en wil graag de stap naar zelfstandige maken.

Nu zijn er wel wat dingen die daarvoor geregeld moeten worden met mijn werkgever. Er staan wat zaken in mijn arbeidscontract die iets versoepeld moeten worden, zoals een extreem breed opgezet concurrentie bedenk, en een alinea over nevenactiviteiten. Daarnaast zal er iets met mijn leaseauto moeten (wat kost t als ik m over moet nemen of kunnen ze m doorzetten aan iemand anders). Ook al word ik geen concurrent, en ga ik natuurlijk zeker niet achter de klanten aan van mijn huidige werkgever wil ik wel alles gewoon netjes met elkaar afsluiten.

Ik ga dus binnenkort een gesprek aan om aan te geven dat ik voor mezelf wil beginnen. Het lastige aan zo’n gesprek vind ik dat je eigenlijk dus zegt: “ik ga binnenkort weg“, maar je er niet precies bij zegt wanneer. Vanaf dan is het natuurlijk vreemd, want zij weten dat ik een keer ga opzeggen maar kunnen we eigenlijk nog niet iemand anders aannemen, want ik heb nog niet echt opgezegd.

Hoe gingen jullie om met deze situatie?

I’m very happy! I passed the exam on the first try.
About 10 days later i received my results. And my verification is also done, so i received my office CISM status.

The key is preparation. I work in Cybersecurity in over 10 years, and my biggest challenge was to ignore the “fix it now” way of thinking.
I know everybody is saying it, but you should really “think like the manager, fixing things permanently, not immediately”. Make sure descisions are always based on business goals.
It’s hard, but don’t think “what fixes this” but more “what makes sure this doesn’t happen again, and what do i need to advice the board correctly (investigate first, advise later).

Adopt QAE, make the investment, it is absolutely key. Read the explanations, right and wrong. I also used AI to explain to me why answers where wrong if i did not understand ISACA’S way.
Do all the questions and make the test exam.

Do not let AI give you answers to QAE questions before you answer them, because they are wrong also allot of the time. And if you tell they where wrong you get nothing more then: “My bad, let me explain why isaca’s way is correct.”

Extra nice. You need to get a minimum of 20 points per year, and 120 points over 3 years. But every point you get this year, wil count voor calendar year 2027.

The questions on the exam where clear and good understandable. I preferred them over the QAE question. But get the way of thinking under you belt, than you will be fine.

I want to use as much functions inside my BitDefender Subscription, so I wanted to enable e-mailsecurity for my Gmail account. But when I select that, I see what points I have to agree with:

"This app requests permissions for the following:

Read your emails
Compose new emails
Send emails from all your Gmail addresses
View your email settings (but not change them)
Create, change, or delete your email labels and classification labels
Move new emails to your inbox, labels, spam, or trash

Your email may contain personal information, such as contact names, private messages, and financial or medical information."

Some things I get. I mean, it cannot scan my email without looking in my messages. But 'compose new emails' and 'send emails from all you Gemail addresses'?

That goes really far and unnecessary I think? Why is this necessary?

So this morning I logged in to ISACA. I have been learning for some time so answers allot of questions, (domain 1 and 2 where done, and I was focussing on domain 3 and 4 but also did allot there). I went to QAE to select some questions and i see..

"0.0% Complete"
"0 of 1138 Questions Taken"

When I click select, I see:

0 of 1138 Questions Taken

00:03:07 Avg. Answer Time

00:03:07 Avg. Correct Answer Time

00:03:07 Avg. Incorrect Answer Time

But I DO see all my Previous Custom Practice Sessions.

When I select "Start New Session" i see:

All remaining questions
1138 questions out of 1138 total (so everything)

Questions answered incorrectly
27 questions out of 557 taken (so there is some history).

So.... everything is gone and I have to start over with all the question?

We hebben een behoorlijk groot gazon dat in de loop der tijd wat verzakt is. Dit komt o.a. door molshopen en gangen. Nu wil ik het weer netjes gelijk maken. Ik ga hiervoor een nivelleringshark gebruiken.

Nu lees ik dat ik hier het best een mengsel van tuinaarde en wat zand voor moet gebruiken. Maar ik zie ook dat er voorgevend “gazonmengsel” te koop is.

Ik wil het in big bags laten komen gezien de hoeveelheid die ik modig heb. Iemand ervaring met dit gazonmengsel? Is dat wat of beter een bag zand en een bag tuinaarde en zelf mengen?

En daarna direct weer inzaaien neem ik aan?
