I've made a open source Webflow/Framer alternative

Hello everyone,

After two years of work, i'm proud to present Revyme, an advanced design-oriented website builder, fully open source, self-hostable, as an alternative to Webflow or Framer.

You can check it out here

When I started web development, I instantly fell in love with the design and animation side of things. Naturally, I stumbled across website builders like Framer and Webflow and although I loved what they were doing, the "black box", no code export and vendor lock in felt to restrictive.

So i've made my own version.

I'm excited for future contributions to the project to make it an awesome product.

Would love to hear your feedback !

I've built an open source Framer alternative

Check it out here

Loved what Framer was doing, but it felt too "black box" to me. So I've made my own version. Export your whole project whenever you want into a Next JS website. Host anywhere. No lock in, ever.

I built an SEO tool for people who don't know SEO

Most SEO tools dump a list of problems on you and leave you lost. I wanted one that just tells a normal person what to do next, in plain language, so I built semchat. You give it your site, it analyses it and hands you a clear action plan you can actually follow.

Try it at https://semchat.io

Upgrading a 2014 Nissan Leaf 24kwh to 40 / 62kwh battery?

Hi,

I was wondering if it's technically possible to upgrade from a 2014 Nissan Leaf 24Kwh to a 40kwh or 62kwh battery from recent leafs (i'm thinking to buy battery separate) ? Is it compatible technically, especially the 62kwh battery or is it hacky and not reliable / secure ?

Thank you !

Price for Leaf 2014

Hello, I just bought a Nissan Leaf 2014 from a car action. I paid 4400 euros all inclusive (with auction fees etc)

Details:

Nissan Leaf Acenta 2014

56500km

Battery health 11/12 bars

Type 2 to type 1 cable charging 0-100% in 4 hours

Domestic cable charge in 10 hours

ChaDeMo working fast charge, charged in 40 minutes

I am trying to sell it for 6990 euros. Europe prices seem a bit higher then the US. All my competitors in France are selling the same as me for 6-7k euros with 100k even 120k kilometers.

What would be a realistic price I can sell it for ?

Thanks

"Isolation test" error on ChaDeMo charge (2014 Nissan Leaf)

Hello,

I've bought a 2014 Nissan Leaf, 56,000km, 9/12 battery bars.

Was happy until I tried to use the fast ChaDeMo charge, and the moment I plug it in it write "Isolation test..." then it errors.

Tried another ChaDeMo charger. Same error.

Bought to a Nissan garage they tried on their ChaDeMo charger. Same.

Now I left it their for a diagnostic about that.

Anyone had experience with this, and tips to not get scammed by the garage ? I've heard it can be a "software reset" or the 12V battery change can be enough.

The slow charger works fine.

Bought a 2014 Nissan Leaf with 56,000 km - question about the battery

I got the car in a car auction in France. During exposition, I asked the technicien to tell me what is the % of battery left and health status. He got inside and told me 100%. I didn't ask to check myself and now I regret because after bidding and winning the bid, I thought it's a bit weird that a 12 year car has 100% battery.

The starting price was 2800 euros and I got it for 3400 euros. If the battery got replaced new, i doubt the start price would be 2800.

I will get it in a couple of days, but wanted to ask experienced people here what is the worst and best case scenario I can expect about the battery health ?

FYI in miles it's about 35,000 miles.

Thanks

Thoughts on going open source

I've build a pretty large project over two years, which i'm close to release and i'm wondering if I should open source it.

My thoughts are these:

- If I do open source it, it will be one of the biggest players in that category (I have extensively compared the existing open source solutions for my category)

- I have inspired from an existing popular closed source popular app, and my project is very similar to theirs. That is why I am leaning on the "open source alternative" of that app.

Nevertheless, I worry that:

- People will fork my code and make their own SaaS's with it (even though I intend to put it on the AGPL license, which from what I understand, obliges them to open source it)

- People would prefer forking it and using for free instead of using my cloud - I would lose paying customers if I were closed source.

The idea is to make it "open core" (the primary product open source, with closed source cloud features, dashboard etc) - i've already architectured the services like that.

I'm having a hard time to decide - my assumption is I am a solo founder with no marketing budget or big reach, and that it would help me get my product out there and build a community, rather than going closed source.

Would love to hear some thoughts and recommandations from people that have gone through this and tested it :)

Thanks !
